Ainge is in love with drafting guards.
This pick makes no sense to me.
We have plenty of undersized guards who can't shoot.

I like the pick.
Rozier is an insane athlete with a super high ceiling on the offensive end, whilst also being a great defender.

Danny realizes he needs to swing big by skipping these role player types like Portis, Dekker etc...just sucks he couldn't get Winslow.

This guy wont help us win games next year and we'll stink...without Bass and an Evan Turner trade, we should pick top 8 next year.

Whatever helps you sleep at nite ::).  It's a horrid pick.  Period.

For what its worth, nbadraft.net had an article a couple days ago listing Rozier as a "top 5 underrated" player.

Also, instant analysis by the same website called this a "tremendous pick" by the Celtics. Again, take it for what its worth...
Celtics fan for life.

Well do not be surprised if Ainge is out of a job next year. Can not believe this is happening. Promises to make sparks then does this Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.. I don't think he even had a plan if he didn't make it into the top 10. He just expected it with all his middling first round picks. After not making it into the top 10 he was shell shocked and passed up on the BPA at 16 of Portis and Dekker. He traded for Thomas which contributed to us making the playoffs and missing on talent and taking away minutes from Smart. You want to know Ainge's plan? He has no Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing plan. He's just running around hoping that something will end up on his doorstep. He's alienated all the players on his roster and made them believe that they weren't going to get traded then doesn't do it and makes no improvements to make the roster better as far as trades and draft picks. He is terrible at drafting. His son readily admits that Smart had a god awful workout with the Celtics last year, but they still took him over Randle. He openly questions Sullinger, but instead of addressing in the draft and taking Randle he just complains about it when it's all said in done. He makes Avery Bradley untouchable?? Avery Bradley?? This man should not be a GM. He brought us a championship and it's time to move on to the future.

I take back everything I said about trying for the 8th playoff spot over getting a top-10 pick. Winslow is a stud. Miami does it again.

Lol... yeh

Wow. This is just shockingly disheartening.

Unless this is just part of a bigger plan Danny has.

But if not ... wowzah. Terrible.

It's amazing how many non-point-guard point guards we have. Guys who can't dribble, can't score. Jeepers.

So, I'm guessing that Danny will use the No. 28 pick to grab another undersized power forward? Because apparently that's all the team likes—small PFs, and "combo guards" who can't score or dribble?

You take a guy that you can get at 28...you take another small guard...Pressey, Bradley, Rozier, Smart, Thomas

You have no wings that can shoot...

Tired of hearing about how smart Danny Ainge is...this falls in like with Giddens, Johnson, Fab Melo...dumb pick.

Ya'll think we could get Nik Stauskas or Anthony Bennett for this Hozier kid?  I don't...

I liked Portis, I did like Rozier too but thought he might still be there at #28.  If you watched the draft combine games, he was pretty good.  He stood out, along with Mickey.

My suspicion is that he wasn't going to be there at 28, that he may have had a draft promise from a team like the Bulls or Spurs, and that Ainge couldn't find a deal to move back a few spots, so he bit the bullet and went ahead and drafted the player that he liked the most.

Looks like out best pick this year is James Young.

I'll say this Danny has balls he's going to look like a genius or run out of town by an angry mob.

Ya'll think we could get Philly to take on the Wallace contract if we give them Hozier?  I have my doubts... PHilly prob wants to use their cap space to fill in the roster around the 3 phenom towers.

Im actually rooting for Roziers career to be a disaster. Danny needs to know what he did wrong.

I'm rooting for an outcome that makes this thread's biggest crybabies look like losers.

I love draft night! Just reading all of the comments of despair and whining put a huge smile on my face.

Don't know much about Rozier. But he sounds just like Avery Bradley coming out of college. Maybe he's Avery Bradley's replacement. Who knows?!?!

Who would you have taken at that position?
I like the balls it took to take this guy. Have you seen Rozier play?

He's swinging for the fences with pick#16
You may not agree with my top 8 pick in 2016 sentiment, but you don't know what you're talking about to call Terry Rozier a 'horrid pick' with #16. It's a great pick. High risk, very high reward.

Think of a point guard version of Monta Ellis (slightly smaller, but stronger and even more athletic), but who plays NBA caliber defense and plays hard on every play.
