my nightmare would be Kaminsky or Kevin Looney...I dunno why but I see Ainge taking Looney a player with no real position that is just going to be a role player in the league if make it at all.
I want Ainge to swing for the fences and he rarely does that.
The year I wanted DeAndre, we took Giddens.
The year I wanted PJIII we take Melo.
The year I wanted Giannis we take Olynyk.
Now I'm not right all the time (no one is), but if you're not in the top 10. SWING SWING SWING. I'm sick of safe picks, lets swing for the fences.
If Upshaw is available later get him.
Isn't it scary that he thought that those guys, especially the first two, were safe picks?

Wow. If he wanted to gp down that route, and for the record I looked at Deandre Jordan as such (because I thought that he could have at least helped us with his size, speed, and athleticism), why not Mario Chalmers, or even CDR? I also don't understand the logic of taking Giddens, only to buy Bill Walker in the second round from the Wizards, which I thought was a good idea because of his lottery talent, and he did have his moments with the Knicks as a dependable reserve.
I didn't understand the Melo pick at all, and not only because Tony Wroten was still on the board. After we didn't take Stephenson in 2010, I thought that Wroten could be similarly serviceable for us off the bench, given his size, skills, and versatility, but whatever. Sigh.
TP for the bit about Looney, as well, btw. Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ainge take him, given his love of tweener's and undersized power forwards. *facepalm* I don't see the appeal there, either, and I agree - we have got to swing for the fences. Not 'Gerald Green is T-Mac because he's a great athlete with the same size, who can shoot' kind of swing, but still swing. We don't even have a star right now, and there's a lot of talent in this year's draft. Unfortunately, I just don't see Ainge taking any of it.
