Moussa Diagne is who I would target with the 33rd pick if I was the Celtics (if not the 28th pick).  Diagne is a 21 year old rebounding and shot blocking machine who has only been playing basketball for 5 years now.  Defensively he is a beast (although he fouls way too much), offensively he is a work in progress, but physically he is a stud.  He is only 6'10" but has a wingspan that is 7'4" with a standing reach of 9'3" and is incredibly fast for his size.

This is the guy I would take a shot with and bring him over when they want and see what he has, he was found by the same team that found Bismack Biyombo and he has more potential then him.  Anyone else have any thoughts on him?

I see some potential is there.  I really like the effort he puts in to deny entry passes.

He is raw though and has narrow shoulders though.  I don't know about taking him at 33.

But if he is at 45, definitely

TP, only someone who is very knowledgable about basketball would bring up his ability to deny the entrance pass.  Great insight, why I love this board.  45 absolutely, with all the players who have pulled up I would jump on him at 33 as he has a high ceiling due to his athletic ability, size, and being so new to the game.  I would consider him at 28 too if they don't think anyone else is worth a roster spot as they can stash Diagne.

The Effort level is great what he needs is someone to teach him the right spots.

Any chance we can get KG to come and teach this kid how to Blitz the pick and roll? I'd be fine if we reached for this prospect especially if we can use him as a draft and stash.

A season season developing with Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in the Liga ACB might be right for his development since a player who's this new to the game probably benefits most from game experience which might be tough to find in our deep rotation.

I would take him at 45  (not sure where he goes in the draft as he appears to be drafted at different positions in the 2nd round  in different mocks)

Also at 28/33 I would like George Lucas or Timothy luwawu both have potential and athletic ability

Also how well does he rebound and run (mobility) , if he rebounds well and is mobile I would take him

His best 3 qualities are
1.)  Rebounding
2.)  Running, incredibly fast for his size
3.)  Shot Blocking

Who needs all 3 of those?  The Celtics!

true. However he will likely not see much time on the court under CBS next season.

If you see some of the clips , he can't make simple turnaround hook shot.  Also like you said fouls too much and is not a good passer.  Feel for game is not there yet.

The Biyombo Comparisons are pretty good.

Does not mean we can't use a guy like this and maybe he can turn into a Deandre Jordan adding weight + experience

He could be kept overseas for another year or 2 too gain more experience and come over here at age 22 or 23 and be the rim protector/rebounder we need.  His offense might improve in that time as well, with so many picks we don't need everyone to come this year, a couple stashes might be better.

definitely.  Luwawu and De Paula are also good draft and stash candidates. I'm sure we could get one of these guys at 33
