Which teams are next to rebuild/ have a fire sale?

Hard to see any new team starting a rebuild / fire sale right now. The reason is that most teams I'm seeing around that could potentially be ready for one or the other are actually very healthy financial wise.

So you can say maybe Dallas for example, but is it really a rebuild when you have as much cap space as they have? I mean, I don't think they'll go into the market with the intention to rebuild. I could see them going into the market and failing to add the talent they're looking for, so by essence having a de facto rebuilding, but mostly because they didn't land players, not because they think what they have is not working and they''ll try to go in a different direction.

I mean, did the Knicks went into the season rebuilding or simply sucking?

That aside, here's my candidate: Memphis.

I think they are hard capped and they've basically run with the same team for 3 years, only difference is Doc.

I think they start to move pieces - such as sign/trade DJordan or JCraw
(not that I WANT this to happen but would't it be cool to see an Aldridge/Blake Grif trade?)

The CLippers are screwed if DeAndre leaves. So I expect them to make sure they have the highest offer. With how they played when Blake was out, I wouldn't be shocked if they dealt him in an effort to get more depth and build around Cp3 and Jordan.

It's pretty ridiculous but I would love to see Blake in Green.

Not happening, as their biggest concern is their poor bench, not if the CP3/Griffin/DJ trio is effective, it certainly is and has made them contenders, they should see that I think.

They do need to start worrying about if they throw all this money at Jordan if they would have enough to get some quality bench players.... so that could maybe break up the trio?

If they throw all their money at Jordan they will have a $2.5 Room exception to work with. If they let Jordan, Barnes and Crawford walk then they will have around $8 MM to work with to fill out their bench and two starting spots.

But they can always find a cheaper defensive big, I.e. Lopez, Chandler, etc. They're not getting another Griffin or Paul. I think that's the way they have to go, because they're so top-heavy that they can't really do much and maxing DJ just makes it worse.

Essentially, if you're hoping for All-Star players on the cheap, I think Cousins and Melo are the only potential options.  And neither will actually be cheap.

I don't think George Karl is thinking of rebuilding.

Melo on the other hand would be cheap given contract, age, and ISO style

Thunder maybe, as they continue to show they are prone to bad decisions. 
Can't imagine WB and Durant being too excited about their new college coach...not exactly a win-now move. 

Maybe we can pry Westbrook off them for AB, Thomas, Sully and 4 firsts? 
Give Donavan a coachable pg to mold his system to, reload the team with the youth of his choice.   

C's would be a little thin upfront, and would leave the cupboard bare of assets moving forward -- but a lineup of solid role players around Westie in CBS's system could work.

Denver = fire sale has started but have been looking for the best possible offers for their veterans
they know they wont be going anywhere in a loaded conference
it is best to restart

Brooklyn = they know they arent going anywhere, still have 2 nice young players in plumlee and young, they are trying to get rid of their core - williams, lopez and johnson

I think Toronto, Denver, and Indiana will be moving a lot of pieces around this summer. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hibbert leave the Pacers and Chandler is destined to find himself on a team desperately needing a SF.

Am I crazy for kind of being into the idea of if Toronto pulls the plug and Urjiri tries getting his own guys in that Psycho T would be "fun" in Boston??

Nuggets and Raptors. I think the players in Toronto are beyond frustrated and want out, and the Nuggets just have no other options really.

I don't think the Knicks deal Melo.  Too big a media market and contract for now, and they'll likely get Towns / Okafor / Mudiay and try to build from there.  Also, if Sacto has a pulse they won't deal Cousins, but I'd trade almost anything for Cousins if possible.  He's a stud.

Indiana - semi-blow up this core within 2 years and rebuild around PG13

Toronto - This is most interesting to me. They just lost again, saber GM Masai could be trolling for picks and willing to deal underachieving playoff players for an attractive youth package.
