Over the next few years which teams will decide to bottom out and fully rebuild? I ask, of course, as this is when stars can be had cheap.

Fully bottom out and rebuild?

Could happen in Sacramento if they trade Cousins.

I wouldn't be shocked if Phoenix reached a point in the next few years where they decided to reset.

Charlotte very well may be headed for yet another tankathon.

New York could theoretically choose to build around their top pick in this draft and sell off Melo.

Denver is ripe for a teardown of what mediocre pieces they have.

Essentially, if you're hoping for All-Star players on the cheap, I think Cousins and Melo are the only potential options.  And neither will actually be cheap.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Good list there. Denver's rebuild is probably going to be the soonest.

Dallas.  Although, if they enter a rebuild they won't have any assets for a fire sale outside of an aged Dirk and a busted Parsons.

Dallas's parts are too old to use for us.

I am expecting the Blazers to shut down the Aldridge project and start the Lillard era.

agreed! I think this is almost for certain!
I think Aldridge will change teams this summer and I hope its in the EC.
If you look at the West you see most of teams are tough...why not come to the EC where its a bit easier?

Toronto is another possiblity
and the Clippers.....

I think they are hard capped and they've basically run with the same team for 3 years, only difference is Doc.

I think they start to move pieces - such as sign/trade DJordan or JCraw
(not that I WANT this to happen but would't it be cool to see an Aldridge/Blake Grif trade?)

Yeah.. hopefully Danny can sell him on Stevens and our great atmosphere... plus the fact that were he playing for us we could of still been talking about lineup changes and how stop Lebron right now.. it's possible man. Gotta have hope.

The CLippers are screwed if DeAndre leaves. So I expect them to make sure they have the highest offer. With how they played when Blake was out, I wouldn't be shocked if they dealt him in an effort to get more depth and build around Cp3 and Jordan.

It's pretty ridiculous but I would love to see Blake in Green.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Not happening, as their biggest concern is their poor bench, not if the CP3/Griffin/DJ trio is effective, it certainly is and has made them contenders, they should see that I think.

They do need to start worrying about if they throw all this money at Jordan if they would have enough to get some quality bench players.... so that could maybe break up the trio?

Denver is the only team I see going into a full rebuild in the next 2 seasons where they are unloading good players for picks.
Mavs
Wiz
Hornet

If they throw all their money at Jordan they will have a $2.5 Room exception to work with. If they let Jordan, Barnes and Crawford walk then they will have around $8 MM to work with to fill out their bench and two starting spots.

So a trade is pretty much the only way they are able to add a bench, which is why I bring up a deal with one of the top 3.

Though question, all only guessing and some are real stretches.
Mavs, when Dirk is all done in 2 years.
Nuggets, now mediocre talent too much salary
Pistons, in four years see Denver.
Suns, now mediocre talent.
Celtics, now mediocre talent.
Hawks, in three years.
Grizz, because Gasol leaves.
Blazers, because LA leaves.
Bulls, After Rose and Gasol miss half of next season.
Sixers, continuous 10 years searching for their star. 8)

Indiana may not be too far off. If Hibbert stays and Paul George isn't doing too much for them next year I could see the Pacers trying to unload their "big 3" George, Hill, and Hibbert.

Also interestingly enough what's going to happen in Miami? If they want to throw max money at Bosh and Dragic what happens to Wade when he's up, and don't forget Whiteside, and then they need a serviceable bench.
