To me, this is fair:
CHA: Bradley (& maybe #28)
BOS: Stephenson, #9
Stephenson has been a disaster for CHA (the coach effectively benched him toward the end of the year, saying that he couldn't figure out a good lineup that included Stephenson), and the cost of dumping a contract like his seems to be in the range of one late 1st rounder. Bradley is a solid asset, a young and improving two-way player locked up on a good deal for three more years. (Side note: I don't really want Stephenson on the team, but whatever Ainge & Stevens would want to do with him -- maybe buy him out, flip his expiring in another deal, or try to rebuild his game into something workable and valuable, whether to keep him or trade him -- I'd be fine with any of it.)
Here's the rest of my master plan to get back to the 7th seed and get swept:
C's sign Danny Green or Khris Middleton to replace Bradley as starting SG. Resign Crowder and Jerebko.
C's get the #6 from SAC in exchange for #16, #45, 2016 MIN 1st, Olynyk, and Turner. (SAC gets a playmaker and ballhandler who they could start at PG in Turner, and a big who could fill in next to Boogie in Olynyk.)
With picks #6 and #9 the C's take WCS and Hezonja.
Lineup would be something like:
PG - Smart, Thomas, Pressey
SG - Green/Middleton, Young
SF - Crowder, Hezonja, Wallace
PF - Sully, Jerebko
C - Zeller, WCS
No banner (yet) with this lineup, but a good upgrade of assets imo. I also think Hezonja could be a great offensive compliment to Smart in the backcourt, and he may even have a chance to be a star. He seems to have that combo of athleticism, size, skill & swagger. Anyone else get that vibe?
