Doug Collins just said you find out who can play in the playoffs.

I think Bass and Bradley can not. Too big of a stage for them.

There is not one position on the floor where Boston have an advantage.

PG: Kyrie vs Smart
SG: JR Smith vs Bradley
SF: Shumpert vs Crowder
PF: LeBron vs Bass
 C: Mozgov vs Zeller

True.  Love is out, Lebron is cold from the floor, and we're still down by double-digits.  It's why I don't understand the arguments folks make to add role players in the off-season.  We're at least two legit stars away from being contenders.

Two best players for this Celtics team are, by a country mile, Isaiah Thomas and Jared Sullinger.

Both are elite bench players.  Not who you want starting.

Wow, Sully and Crowder trying to bring us back. Those two are the only ones who really showed up to play today. Smart showed up today, too, but he was late!  ;D
teacher Brad would rather teach a lesson then extend the series.

Yup.  Undeniable.  Celts are a long way off.

There ya go.......no use getting all worked up .......they got way more invested and on the line .....nothing short of LeBron with a major injury is going to give us any hope at this point.

We had a whupping coming .

Or to resign players who have stunk it up in these playoff games.

Meanwhile you can see the spark in Smart since the playoffs. Dude wants the ball and is getting his minutes reduced.

year 2 of a 5 year rebuild. we have a LONG WAY TO GO

cavs are stacked moreso than people think. irving lebron and love =3 all stars

smith= former 6th man of the year
mozgoz is a decent center.
perkins is good depth.
Varejao is good depth when healthy

we have TWO for sure keepers in IT who was close to winning 6th man of the year and MARCUS.....everyone else is expendable the way DA sees fit.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

He's got to be consistent with Smart. Sully was late twice earlier this season, and both times he lost his starting spot. It's a young team, so stuff like this happens. No big deal. Just sucks it had to be in the playoffs.

I'm with you.

Still, devil's advocate -- it looks like the Celtics aren't going to be picking in the top 5 anytime soon.  No, the roster isn't very good, but with Stevens coaching and the young talent on the roster, it would take a pretty epic tear down job by Ainge to get this team to the bottom.

With that in mind, why not build toward the middle, as long as it doesn't compromise flexibility?  Don't give out long term contracts to role players, but if you can acquire quality players for a bargain (as they did with IT), what is there to lose?
