his speed ,jumping and length have proven effective on long bounce rebounds, nothing more demoralizing playing great d  and cleveland gets a long  bounce and then hits for three,
sully just has no reaction time at the moment, jerebko loves to run and challenge for everything
zeller is too measured and doesn't take risks or use excess energy

Completely agree. His game fits the system and his lack of presence on the court after playing so well all season is hurting us. Jonas should be playing over Jared Sir Weighs A Lot.

I third that notion.  Jerebko (who i hope we resign), has range, plays good defense, rebounds or gets a hand on tons of balls and seems to fit stevens system quite nicely.

thanks for the agreement, bass on break vs jerebko an easier target, zeller started off looking quick and aggresive, misses one or two and his offense grinds to a halt,he makes a bad pass and it kills him-jerebko has the type of motor that gears up as he runs and runs his man,,not enough ball movement because of playoff d .This playoff experience for marcus is invaluable
.kelly made a nice guard move ,he's attempting to play tougher.Thats the 2nd time using that reverse he has showed his ball handling skills for a seven footer-isiah has to get zeller active on pick and roll---but back to jerebko send him in a  let him throw his body around with no concern of fouls

For some reason, Stevens was sore at him last night or he didn't like what he saw.  He played four minutes, some of that might be because Sully was hitting some shots.   I think Stevens went with Sully last night because he was playing better.  Stevens usually rides the hot hand.

I don't think that was the reason. He was playing Sully because out of our current big guys, he's really the one playing better defense. And I don't mean that as he's the better defender out of them, but he's the one that actually can match-up with the Cleveland bigs and actually box them out.

Stevens learned the lesson the hard way when he started Olynyk in the 3rd quarter of the first game, it was a big mistake.

So right now he's attempting, for the most part, to keep one of Zeller or Sully in the floor at all times, at least while Mozgov or Thompson is in the game.

What one has to look for is what's going with Bass. He's been terrible defensively in the playoffs, which is a surprise. I don't like his defense, but at least in the past he has shown up with good effort during the playoffs. That's where Jerebko fits if anything.

But for now you need to keep Sully in there against the Cavs bigs, let's just hope he keeps doing enough offensively and keeps his rhythm to make it worthwhile.

The reason he isn't playing is because he is the slightest of our bigs and our main problem this series has been Thompson and Mozgov having their way on the offensive boards. Jerebko is a good scrappy offensive rebounder but he doesn't have the girth to deal with those two.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz

I rather see the minutes go to the other big men who may be still developing their game.

If it is a big deal (as some have said) for young players to get playoff experience, make sure they get the playoff experience.

I think Sully matches up well with the Cavs because they are a slow half court team.   It is his style of ball and it suits them.   I thought he would match up before the series.

maybe backing jerebko down in post but jerebko can turn and block and get to those deep rebounds that are back breakers--

I fourth it.  ;D

Jerebko isn't more slight than Zeller—shorter, but not more slight. And by the end of the season, Jerebko was one of our best rebounders. He's also a lot more active than Sully. Sully is our best rebounder when 100% healthy, but I don't think his conditioning is there yet. I agree that we need to take care of Mozgov and Thompson, but I'm not sure Jerebko would do any worse against them than Zeller and Sully and KO, and I think he might do better.

lebron just blew buy sully -i think jerebk would have been much quicker laterally-jerebko got a foul for a moving screen was that wht ticked off brad-jerebko jumps ,active hands with good reach--but thoselong rebounds are the ones that killed us both games-isiah has been good but not poppin good-he needs to get in a zone--

You're right—those offensive rebounds (especially the long ones) after a good defensive sequence are backbreaking, and I think Jerebko could help in that area.

And yes, it would be nice for Isaiah to get absolutely on fire.
