Couldn't find the video from comcast last night, but they played it on WEEI this morning . His thinking is if the C's can put pressure on the Cavs in the first two games, and steal one of them , they have a legit shot of pulling the upset . Also mentioned that they lack playoff experience as well , and could start feeling the pressure if they are being challenged. Picked the C's in 6 games.

Danny was the interviewed later in the show. He said the Cavs obviously have a much larger room for error because of the high end talent they have . For the C's to pull the upset they have to hit their 3's at a good clip , and continue to play the good defense they have the past few months .

Mike's analysis is so good. I love it. TP.

He's better than every single one of them ESPN guys. So matter of fact. No drama. You can tell he KNOWS the game. None of that Steven A. Smith bullcrap. I love it.

I do not agree with him but he is so measured, so astute, so concise. Mike Gorman is a pleasure to listen to talk about basketball. I live here in Houston and during one of the Rockets/C's games the Houston announcer said Gorman was the best play by play guy in the business. This is not the first time I have heard this. He is an announcers announcer.

Absolutely LOVE Gorman...but I can't buy this...the three best players in this series all play for the Cavs...the Celtics just don't have the horses to beat them 4 times out of 7.

But the Cavs will be thrilled when it's over...the Celtics will push them hard.

Don't see it happening, but regardless.

The Celts gave us a hell of a season and I am sure will give the Cavs everything they have.

To me, this was a successful year, regardless of what happens in this series.

The Evan Turner thing was interesting. Do you guys really think he could bother Lebron?

Gorman and Tommy are prob the only optimistic fans that think Celts can beat the Cavs.

Even those two other hosts were in dire shock to hear Gorman prediction lol

She was like in 5 (meaning Cavs in 5)

I hope Gorman is right. We will need to win game 1 or 2 in Cleveland to start

There are possible futures where the Celtics actually win, right? Like, 3 out of 100 futures, or 2, or 5, etc.? Just like there was a possible future where the Cavs could have won the lottery? It's possible the Celtics steal Game 1. To steal the series, I think they'd need to. It's hard to imagine any futures at all where the Celts either win more than two games in a row or win a Game 7 in Cleveland. So, in the few futures where they will have won, they stole Game 1, then lose Game 2, win both of the next two at home, lose Game 5, and clinch at home. Do I think that's likely? No. The most likely outcome is Cleveland in 4 or 5. But I do think there are more futures out of 100 where the Celtics win than just 3, or, 2, or 5. How about...18. :)

Nope, I don't. Which is why I don't think the Celts will win.

Crowder could do a better job defending Lebron than Turner.

I think there will be some Bad calls that will cost us the chance to upset the Cavs in at least 2 of the games....C's will battle hard---and get beat in 6 games...but we'll be left with the feeling that we could have won---if only the refs called the series evenly.

Saw this today on SOSH, only re: Game 1, but if you take it and stir in 6 cups of wild optimism the reasoning could be applied to the series as a whole. (Or, 60 cups.)

Quote
I wouldn't go so far as to predict it, but I think the conditions are there for the Celtics to steal Game 1.  A combination of the Cavs having rested guys leading to a little less sharpness and Stevens watching a ton of film and game planning the opponent should lead to a pretty competitive game.  I point to Stevens watching not because I think he's some super genius but because I think Cleveland really has no choice but to come out and play their game -- they have the 3 best players in this series and getting them the ball as often as possible will have to be the game plan.  This gives the Celtics a small opportunity to throw some wrinkles at them and see if CLE can adjust on the fly.

Of course, it's far more likely that Cleveland just shows up and dominates the game start to end.  I'm not crazy.  But the upset sort of plays out this way, I think, if it were to happen.

As much as I'd love to see the C's win...  their only realistic "hope" is if a couple of Celtics fans kidnap LeBron and keep him tied up in a warehouse for the next two weeks.

They'll play hard, and I think they might steal a game or two...  but realistically, the best-case scenario for the C's is that they stretch it out to six games and they put on a fight every night.  Which, you know...  Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. it, that's going to be fun to watch.

Game 1's their best chance to steal one.

Lebron once went FIVE GAMES without having a foul called on him.

No way to defeat that.
