  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
(1) Avoid sweep
(2) Limit the number of double digit losses. 1 is fine. 2 is not so good. 3 would be bad.

This is pretty much how I feel.  Be competitive in as many games as possible and win at least one.  Don't get steamrolled basically.

A very competitive game. I want them to play so hard that Lebron HAS to go into takeover mode. I don't want him dancing his way through the 1st round..make them work for their wins.

That's pretty much where I am.  I don't expect the Celts to win, but I want to see lots of defense and hustle.  No cakewalks.

This is the least stressed I've ever been for the post season  ;D at this point the C's are playing with house money and it's all on the Cavs really. Even if/when the C's lose, if the series goes pass 5 games , it would be considered a poor showing for the Cavs and hard fought "victory" for the C's.

I'm just ready to see them play.

Realistically? Two wins. Give the kids a taste of success which will hopefully spur them to work harder to get better.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Force a game 7 just so the team (and Stevens) can get a taste of the highest possible pressure on the big stage and use it to get to an extra gear next season.

Agree that Celts are playing with house money at this point, which is why I give them a great chance to pull out an upset.  That will change quickly if they drop both games in Cle, but I think if they can steal 1 and come back to Boston with some confidence, Lebron and Co. have something to worry.

The mentality of these two teams couldn't be more different.  Boston doesn't expect anything to be easy, so they fight through adversity.  Cleveland expects/assumes they will win just on talent alone.  If we can rattle them a little, it will go along way to giving the chance to win out.

I don't think it's unrealistic to say that we might win - you just have to put realistic odds on it. Maybe 5-10%? In any event, it isn't zero.

More likely, I'm hoping for lots of tight games where we have a shot in the 4th quarter, and 1-2 wins. I could see us getting 1 win, 3 single-digit losses, and 1 blowout loss - and I'd be happy with that, as it would make for good TV.

Realistically... win a game.  Winning two would be amazing.  Try to give Kevin Love a front row seat to Boston Celtic basketball so maybe he will consider joining is this summer.

This is my position too. Hopefully, nobody gets exposed other than Thomas's defense which is a proven deficiency.  Would like to see Smart in particular continue his recent progress.

'Realistically' I hope we come out of the series a better prospect for potential targets during the off season.

I really would like to be pouring green Irish whisky in celebration of moving to the next round.

1 or 2 wins with somewhat competitive losses. Marcus Smart and Isaiah Thomas having huge series would be great too.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Well, it looks like someone has just jinxed LeBron

I should have known it was Windhorst..man he loves Lebron more than Lebron loves himself..lol.
