Brandon Bass played the last regular season game of the 3-year contract he signed in July 2012.  In a rarity these days, he played every single game for the entire contract.  Bass has always been reliable since coming to Boston, and that includes lacing them up every day.

I'm not sure what the future holds for Bass, but he's certainly earned our appreciation.

It'll be interesting to see what he and Crowder get in free agency this summer.  They've both made waves in Boston and should generate interest.

Bass didn't generate much trade interest.  His talents just aren't in demand.  He'll certainly take a big pay cut.  I'd guess Crowder might get a Turner type deal.

He didn't receive trade interest, because he was a role player on an expiring contract.  No point in giving up 1st round draft picks for a rental of Brandon Bass.  I expect he'll have a lot of interest in free agency.

For vet minimum, he'd have a lot of interest.  For his current salary, I'd expect no interest.  I'd guess he may get a Kris Humphries type deal.

Obviously I like Bass, having started this thread.  But supposedly over the summer Golden State could have had him for virtually nothing (a second round pick), and they instead let their trade exception expire.  I think he's above the minimum, but his salary ceiling is likely the MLE.  I think his skills are a bit undervalued, but that does mean he has a decent chance to return.

Tony Stark, makes you feel, he's the cool exec, with a heart of steel. As Iron Man all jets a-blaze, he's fighting and smiting with repulsor rays. Amazing armor, it's Iron Man. A blaze of power, it's Iron Man!

Iron Man, the armor clad superhero of the free world may be doomed to die. Yes, the life of america's most dramatic avenger may well hinge upon a delicate subminiature component containing the strange secret which keeps his injured heart beating and enables him to live as Tony Starks, one of the nation's leading scientists, head of Tony Stark Industries, and as... Iron Man!
