With all that said, I have yet another trade to announce!

UF sends John Wall and Mike Muscala

for

Zach LaVine, Stanley Johnson, MMSB 2016 1st round pick

Wondering how you guys feel about this one.  I was very hesitant to pull the trigger on this one, but at the end of the day felt like if I am getting the clear cut best player in the deal, it hopefully can't go too bad.

I think LaVine will only get better and Johnson is going to be a stud - Rudy Gay type guy...so I may regret it later.  But Wall is still only 25 and is a legit 20/10 guy...Just couldn't pass it up.  What do you think?

I think UF is banking on your pick being high - unless Johnson/LaVine become really productive players he's going to lose on that end.  If your team makes the playoffs you should easily win the trade; if not it depends where it falls.

100% agree here, except for the banking on MMSB's pick being high... which make this a very likely win for MMSB. I just had to move Wall & Moose b/c their advanced ages were skewing my  roster's average age super high.

Mk

P.S. Very quietly, at least up until the draft, MMSB has put together a very intriguing squad.

Good to see MMSB making a push for the playoffs.  I was skeptical of his strategy after his first move,  but he's done 3 now that should get him somewhere in the playoff race. But I think he has a low margin of error with the current depth of his squad.

Going for the Logan's Run model, eh?  I feel you, I've successfully purged all the decrepit over-30s from my roster.

Nice!  TP.  This is the part where I would make a picture of John Wall with a red crystal in his hand if I wasn't lazy and Photoshop illiterate.

Instead I'll just yell Renew! Renew! a bunch.

Please don't do this.

A request for all GMs: PLEASE DO NOT ANNOUNCE YOUR own trades.

I know it sounds silly, but the purpose of submitting them is that I have to double check that all the players/picks both teams say they're trading are on the original teams and that both GMs actually confirm the trade.

I do my best to post them as quickly as possible (in this instance 1 team didn't confirm unti 7:57 am). I don't want a situation where a trade has to get reworked, rescinded — or worse another GM get all worked up over a trade that was not confirmed — just because one GM couldn't wait 45 mins.

(and I really don't want the situation where other GMs are complaining b/c the trade hasn't been listed on the 2nd post of this thread or in the rosters page.)

Sorry GC.  My bad

Wondering how you guys feel about this one.  I was very hesitant to pull the trigger on this one...

I'm not sure why you even hesitated. I love Wall and would take a franchise player in his prime over 2-3 promising young players every time. Well done. I look forward to seeing the Bacon in the playoffs.

As for the Flash's return, I'm high on Johnson, who is one of my 3-4 favorite players coming out of this draft, and doubtful of LaVine, who may be the shooting guard JaVale McGee. (But TWW you love McGee? He was my first ever H2H draft pick. I've got a sentimental streak.)

I am petty enough to point out that Nene is two years younger than Jamal Crawford with less competition for playing time. Jamal is a player I've always liked but he'll be thirty-six by season's end, was already coming off the bench behind Redick, now has Lance Stephenson and Wes Johnson to contend with. He'll need to be traded into the ideal situation to carry anything close to last season's fantasy value.

Solid deal. I'm not sure which two players I'd rather have.

ALSO.

Pau Gasol showed Rudy Gobert who's who. Hung 40 points on the kid. Going 12-of-21 from the floor and 16-of-18 from the line. Topped it off with  11 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 1 steal to just 2 TOs in 36 minutes of Spain's overtime win over France.

Kobe's still unimpressed.
