there are still (at least) two outstanding discussions/decisions to make about the league settings based on new Yahoo! features:

-- Injured roster spot
-- 19 vs. 20 week season & the effects on the playoffs

I'm going to make a post in the Constituional Convention thread describing the options and we'll vote on them near the beginning of Oct.

I encourage folks to weigh in on both over there -- and continue your roster discussions/pimpin' here.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

MMSB trades Tony Wroten

Toines Boys trade Andrea Bargnani

Kind of a headscratcher for Bacon here in my opinion.  Bargnani will get minutes on a thin Nets team, especially if Lopez gets hurt again, but he's awfully injury-prone himself and his best days are probably behind him.  And it's not inconceivable that he heads back overseas once this contract is over.

Wroten's had some injuries too - his knee's a big question mark going into the season - and his #s are likely inflated by being in Philly, but production all counts the same in fantasy and he's 7.5 years younger.  He's erratic and probably not as good as his best numbers, but he seems like the clearly better asset to me.

I see it as a gamble on both ends. I needed another PG/SG, Bacon needed a big man, so there was a fit for both sides. In the end both guys have issues. Bargs is injury prone and older, BUT, he does produce very well when given minutes, and will get those in Brooklyn, and needs to play well if he wants another contract. Wroten is younger, has more promise, and will get inflated stats on the Sixers for at least this season, as they still need a PG, BUT, he is coming off ACL surgery, has plenty of warts in his game that can cause him to lose playing time, and can be traded at any moment with Hinkie in charge, which could make him wind up riding the bench somewhere.

This thread's even deader than the site's been lately.  So come on, 3 weeks til cutdown day - who wants to make a trade offer I'll probably shoot down, or post a bunch of .gifs hyping their 12th best player or whatever?  Let's get schwifty in here!
