said this from day one... those that cite raw stats about how Rondo played get only part of the picture. The game is about winning and IMPACT... not deciding on one player's "worth" based on stats. Sure he had big assist numbers, because he had the ball 90% of the time. Evan Turner has equal or better numbers than Rondo, which should tell you something. Also, the overall impact of losing Rondo was that others needed to combine to fulfill facilitator roles...which made everyone a bit better IMO.
The key was not how good Rondo is/was... its that he made little DIFFERENCE in our overall success. That is what was relevant here, and what may occur in Dallas. Looking at it fairly (and switching the view) his stats are down in Dallas due to system changes, so you cant use those numbers to say he is worse.
