My nickname for M. Smart > "one fer"

I don't know how many times I look at the box score and see Smart's stats...shooting one for whatever...so my nickname for him is "one fer."

Having said that - glad Smart had the winning basket against the Raptors - notice that the shot was at point blank range however.  Smart can't shoot - but what is new...we knew that when he was drafted.

Can Smart improve his shooting percentage?  Sure hope so...36.2% for 60 games - pretty sorry FG %

But the Celtics as a whole don't shoot well as a team.   Two top scorers Bradley and Thomas are shooting 42.7% and 41.9%.

As bad as the Celtics are at team FG%, they are still in the hunt for the playoffs which is great.   Hope they make it even if they lose in the first round which is almost a given.  Playoff experience would be great.

This C's team consistent of defensive player and role players... What do you expect the FG % to be? Not going to change until we get some some offensive players that can make plays for themselves and others.

It has happened 19 times for him this year.

Of course he'd probably avoid your clever knickname if he'd just chuck more often, in his "one fer" game he's averaged a whopping 4.47 shots. A 50% shooter would have an awful lot of "one fer" if they only shot that many times in a game.

Tyler Zeller has quite a few as well for that reason.
