Since I thought the post was about Pop-up players who are not incoming freshman or widely known internationals like Thon Maker, allow me to mention Zak Irvin of Michigan. Currently a sophomore, at the beginning of the year he was a mid 1st round pick this year to many prognosticators. And then he had a very disappointing November-January, as his game stagnated and saw him settle for too many jumpers. However, in February, the growth happened, as he started driving, creating for his teammates, and being active on the boards. If he continues this advancement into next season, his 1st round projections will have been a year late, but not wrong.
