I would consider it but it would depend on who is on the board and it would depend on if we could use the Utah pick with our own to trade up. Bradley is good and is one of the most underrated players on this forum. Danny Ainge and Zach Lowe seem to like him and they are experts and are plugged in. But I like him anyway. I mean I'd consider it but some people would trade him for a late first round pick and an expiring contract. That's just poor trading.

yeah, sorry, but I hang on to Avery for a couple more years to see how he further develops. Good to great on-ball defense, offense that's really coming around, good contract (soon to be even better), and he's only 23 years old!

Someone should should compile a list of the top 12 picks over the past 10 years and judge how many of those 120 picks are better than Avery right now, and that includes 50 top 5 picks! It should be pretty clear by now, the draft is a crap shoot. I'll keep Avery, thank you very much.

Avery's a guy I keep until his value is higher, then see if someone blows me away with an offer. Hey, maybe the Nets need a 2-guard?

You've traded 2 HOF, an all-star and your leading scorer for draft picks within the past few years. Let's not act like this is unconscionable.

I did the #12 and #15 over the last ten years for a WCS thread:

Dario Saric
Steven Adams
Jeremy Lamb
Alec Burks
Xavier Henry
Jason Thompson
Thad Young
Hilton Armstrong
Yaroslev Korolev
Robert Swift
Adreian Payne
Giannis A.
Moe Harkless
Kawhi Leonard
Larry Sanders
Austin Daye
Robin Lopez
Rodney Stuckey
Cedric Simmons
Antoine Wright

It's not a list loaded with All-Stars, that's for sure.

In fairness other posters have made good points about the "option value" of a 1st instead of Bradley....you can do many other things with that pick.

Of course, I guess with Bradley the option would still exist to trade him for a late 1st, if you believe Lowe. Or if you think you could trade #12 and our pick for #8, maybe you could do the same with Bradley and our pick.

so, there are a handful of picks I like on that list better than Avery, but certainly not enough to make it a no-brainer to trade him. A package deal, maybe, but he has improved every year in the league. Why are people so sure he's reached his ceiling, at 23?

I don't see it.

Because you are a philly fan who seems I have no intention of contributing outside of tellin is we have done a terrible job rebuildin and philly is awesome and perfect and fantastic.

I suppose it's nice to get another teams perspective but I don't get it from your perspective.

We haven't done a great job of rebuilding yet either. In fact we haven't done much of anything but tear it down. Only once Danny has used up all pile of assets and we see what we're left with can we start to judge the success of the rebuild. Right now we're just waiting to see what he does.

Bradley is just too good and too young and has too good of a contract to trade for a 1st.  Silly topic.
