1. We lose

2. Poster X develops a vendetta against player Y, makes a new thread declaring that he's useless

3. LarBrd33 arrives and agrees

It's the most cherished of CelticsBlog traditions.

lol "vendetta"? I like IT but I don't like small ball and pointed out that there is a history of it not being successful.

and the point(that most missed) was more about my dislike about Danny's infatuation with undersized players or small ball in general. and IT's defensive disadvantage last night was a perfect example of why these players are an exercise in futility.

again breaking even is not winning.
It isn't losing either.

The bucks did a really good job taking advantage of it as MCW is huge and so when he posts up help comes and boom he swings it to 2 lights out 3 pt shooters in Mayo and Middleton. Very few other teams have that dynamic in terms of having a huge pg and then guys at the 2 or the 3 who you cant afford to help off of.

;D On point, TP

You win with players that are good, not just big.

Goal for next season: Top 2 seed.
Say goodbye to: Turner, Zeller, Sully.

Hah... This definitely isn't the first time I've expressed my lack of enthusiasm about IT.  I've been calling him "Baby Napoleon" and comparing him to Earl Boykins since he arrived.  He's a gimmickly spark plug off the bench.  I don't expect him to last here long-term.

Why would I pick the Bucks loss, of all games, to jump on the IT hate-train?  It was arguably his best game in a month ... 23 points, 6 assists on 58% shooting.  Far better than his season averages with Boston... 18 points on an inefficient 39% shooting (32% from three).   I've been throwing ice on this IT thing since it started.  I like him as a microwave off the bench and think that's probably his future.

If you're lookin for a cherished CelticsBlog tradition, here's a more accurate one:

1.  LarBrd33 voices some truth

2.  Multiple posters disagree and claim he has a vendetta

3.  A month... or years later, everyone changes their mind and agrees

...

Obviously not totally serious.  I'm wrong about a lot of stuff.   I miss my days arguing with Glen Davis fanboys, though.

Bucks are one of the largest teams in the league. Regardless of who we trotted out there we'd be at a disadvantage. The bucks are a tough matchup for us.

MCW 6'6
Middleton 6'7
Gianni's 6'11
Ilyasova 6'11
Pachylia 7'

Smart 6'4
Avery 6'2
Turner 6'7
Bass 6'9
Zeller 7'

Out sized at every position, and pachulia is way stronger then Zeller

Put even our bench against them

IT 5'9
Young 6'7
Crowder 6'8
Jerebko 6'9
Kelly 7'

We're still smaller.

I had I hope we could make the playoffs. But it might be better off we don't. We don't have an identity and when the games get tight and the other team is playing playoff intensity, we look out matched.

Lost to Heat, lost to Bucks lost to OKC in OKC got the doors absolutely blown off of us against LAC.

The win against pacers was a good one but that was without Paul George (been out all year but still).

We're honestly not a playoff team. If we sneak in cool we get some experience I'll be happy. If we don't I think I'll be more excited if somehow the balls bounce out way and we get a top6 pick. Or trade up I really want this Winslow kid if not WCS. If not I rather go all out on trades.

Truth? If I recall correctly you have tendacy to exaggerate a lot of things. Isaiah may shoot low percentages, he goes to the line a decent amount to compansate for it. In fact Thomas is the Celtics best scorer and I prefer to have him take the bulk of the shots.

They also won against the Grizzilies, a red hot Pacers team, and the Hawks. If the Celtics made the playoffs they've earned it.

If you get fouled and miss the shot, it doesn't count as a FGA... #LarBrd33TruthDrop

I agree he's the team's best scorer, though.  He just can't start.  If he starts, you have to bench Bradley.  And we probably aren't doing that.
