1. We lose
2. Poster X develops a vendetta against player Y, makes a new thread declaring that he's useless
3. LarBrd33 arrives and agrees
It's the most cherished of CelticsBlog traditions.
On point, TP
You win with players that are good, not just big.
Hah... This definitely isn't the first time I've expressed my lack of enthusiasm about IT. I've been calling him "Baby Napoleon" and comparing him to Earl Boykins since he arrived. He's a gimmickly spark plug off the bench. I don't expect him to last here long-term.
Why would I pick the Bucks loss, of all games, to jump on the IT hate-train? It was arguably his best game in a month ... 23 points, 6 assists on 58% shooting. Far better than his season averages with Boston... 18 points on an inefficient 39% shooting (32% from three). I've been throwing ice on this IT thing since it started. I like him as a microwave off the bench and think that's probably his future.
If you're lookin for a cherished CelticsBlog tradition, here's a more accurate one:
1. LarBrd33 voices some truth
2. Multiple posters disagree and claim he has a vendetta
3. A month... or years later, everyone changes their mind and agrees
...
Obviously not totally serious. I'm wrong about a lot of stuff. I miss my days arguing with Glen Davis fanboys, though.
