Yeah there's no predicting what will happen here.   We would be in a better position if we had a top 5 pick to trade, but Danny can get creative with the mid-1st and future picks.   

Making the playoffs with a mediocre team isn't the best situation.  It doesn't make a significant impact on whether the team contends in the future.  But at the very least it will improve the trade value for guys like Avery Bradley and Tyler Zeller.

I didn't read this thread all day because I thought it was a workout log. 

I don't get the allure of losing games on purpose.  I'm yelling at the TV when someone does something stupid or costly and I can't imagine sitting there cheering that on.  It's like hoping you get a bad meal at a restaurant so you don't have to pay...at the end of the day you ate something crappy.

A coach is overachieving and has his team play hard, scrappy basketball.  The solution is to jettison him?

What type of message does that send to players?  Free agents?  Agents?  Future coaching hires?  Fans?

The hate against this team is getting ridiculous once again. There has been nothing but hate in these threads in this forum against a very young team battling for a playoff spot today. I don´t get it?!

Lebron couldn´t win it with the Cavs. These prospects some of you want to tank for are not Lebrons. They are scrubs compared to Lebron. Even if we tanked for 3 years straight and we´d get the #1 pick every time, those three #1 picks combined wouldn´t be in the level of Lebron.

I can't believe there are still people promulgating this stuff this late in the season after all that has transpired this season. We literally either traded off or lost to injury our three best players this season. I'm not sure what else we were supposed to do.

I think we should have bought Bass, JJ, Gigi out after the deadline. Steven's coaches to win so I do not have a problem with the team playing hard. I do have a problem with players who will not be in our future trying their hardest to pad their stats in a contract year.....except Bass, he's steady.

Its too bad. but not worse than if next year we let these guys go or get nothing for our players in trades.

I think the sentiment behind the OP's post is fairly insipid, but there seems to be a lot of misguided raging on this page that I don't understand.

On that note, I guess I am a Veruca Salt/Celtics fan. I still listen to American Thighs every once and a while.
