I used to think Brandon Bass was just a decent player, but he's flourished this season, and I've really come to enjoy him. Seems like a great teammate, is definitely a hard worker, and has more to his game than I realized—he even passes!

My favorite thing about Bass is the fact that he goes up strong and dunks with two hands at nearly every opportunity. This is so much more enjoyable than watching Glen Davis barely able to reach the rim.

I know there are other Bass lovers out there; what do you appreciate about him? (My apologies if there's already a Bass appreciation thread.)
I've noticed him being a bit more fluid recently and moving more like a small forward. Which is really odd for a 29-year-old player who's been a big for his entire career.

I think you're right about his increased fluidity. Lately he's seemed very smooth around the rim and going up, like a stronger-than-normal small forward.
In my mind, he's always been smooth around the rim. He just didn't do it much because he is so automatic with the midrange jumper.

But there have been some dribble-drives, as well as general handling of the ball around the perimeter that have all looked better than usual.

Remember when he was simply "no pass Bass" when we first got him? I remember him being an excellent mid-range jump shooter but we had so many other players on the team that nothing else really stood out for me.

I was really big into trading Bass this year because he was such a hard worker that I thought he deserved more than being on this sorry team. The team was certainly sorry to start the year in my opinion. Amazing what happens when you trade away your two "best players" and lose someone you thought would be a "stone", not a cornerstone but a stone, moving forward in Sullinger.

I'll take four more years of Bass easily if he's down. He's a Celtic in my book. Came in when we were hot, stayed professional through the low points, and is showing why teams missed out on him during the deadline now.
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!

Completely agree. He was a good midrange shooter, but it seemed like he couldn't do anything else—but I guess he didn't have to on those contender teams. Now he's getting to show more of his game, and it's great. I, too, hope he sticks around several more years. He's a Celtic in my book, too.

Shows up, plays hard, has a big game every once in a while. His defense is also underrated at times. I've always liked Bass.

I've always liked Bass and I think he's getting better and better.  When many wanted to get rid of him to go into Tank Mode I thought that was crazy.  Bass is exactly the kind of player that u want on your team.  He's great.  Very versatile, tough defender, good shot and great teammate.
