Joel Embiid has experienced a "minor setback" with his right foot and is in a walking boot.

Embiid was seen wearing a walking boot on Sunday.

Embiid dunked between his legs during a pregame workout on Friday.

Always good to dunk between the legs before being cleared for running.  I don't know what he's been cleared for but the team won't be happy if he hurt himself doing something stupid.

Maybe he and Bynum went bowling. ;)
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Still love Embiid's potential and wish him well, but a big man with both back and foot problems at 20 does not bode well for his career.

I hope it's not serious.

He is a 300 lbs man with a foot stress fracture. The fact that he had one in the first place was serious.

but... but... but...  the 76ers can't do anything wrong... their owner is so smart and everything is so bright for them.

I really want to give you a hundred TPs.
It's nice seeing him get exposed as overrated after having argued with fellow fans for years that he was overrated.. but I don't hate him. I'm looking forward to seeing him [...] bounce around to a couple more teams... eventually come back to Boston[...] and helps us as a role player until he runs himself out of the league.

Sorry to judge, but it doesn't look like such a great idea to draft a big man with a history of injuries with the number three pick in the draft.

His potential was/is worth the gamble. Think nearly every GM would have picked him after Wiggins, Parker were gone at #3

I guess you missed that I was being sarcastic. This blog has more fans in love with the 76er's rebuild than people rooting for the Celtics to win games. I was making a joke about that sentiment. We have threads about trading our whole rosters for Nerlens Noel, how they will make the playoffs next year etc... it is fun to laugh a little and point out there is a real lot of risk in philly and we should hope it fails because they project to be a big rival in the division for the next 5 years.

So you think that DA would have passed on Embid so he could take Smart if Embid fell to us last year?  Cmon.  Big guys are crap shoots in the draft.  They take a long time to develop, but if you get a chance to take a chance on one with a boatload of potential you take it.

Btw, does anyone think that Embid has put on a ton of weight since last year?  He has seriously filled out.
