Tech bs aside Thomas had a nice debue. This coupled with Smarts potetnial and ABs improvment leaves me believing that aside from using one to land a stud big is planning on building this team with a 3 guard rotation.

I think IT is best suited as a for a Ginobli/ J Crawford role as an elite 6th man who is clearly one of the teams best players on the team. If he excepts this then I think he fits very nicely with AB and Smart. With Smarts size the Cs will be able to get away with playing the 3 together for portions of the game. Especially against teams who lack elite SFs.

This brings me to my roster design plan.

By just dividing the PG/SG minutes by 3 each guard gets 32mpg. This is ok but I expect all 3 to earn more PT then this down the road. As I previously stated I think this comes in the form of a small ball lineup with Marcus getting around 6mpg at the 3. Ideally the Cs will bring in a high potential 3/4 who can start at the 3 and serve as the small ball 4. Chances of landing him are slim but S Johnson of arizona could be a great fit. In the front court I can see a 3 big rotation. With two of Sully, KO and Zeller and the 3rd player needing to be a roster upgrade attained thru FA or the draft in one of the next two off seasons.

I totally agree need ideally two way SF and rim protecting big.  Unfortunately I would argue those are the two toughest positions to fill in the NBA.  I am going to be conservative and hope for one this off season whether it be via trade or draft.

We're unlikely to bring any FA in for those spots so our best bet is the draft by getting Stanley Johnson and Dakari Johnson or WCS and RHJ. The first option would be more ideal.

Anyone else notice S. Johnson sliding in mock drafts? I've seen him fall to us at 8-10 while WCS sometimes goes as low as 6.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Did you see his game versus UCLA, he looked absolutely mudane.    He was horrible, I need to catch another game of his though.

I liked the way they looked last night.  Thomas looked particularly good and it may be hard to keep him as a 6th man.

Regardless, this is gonna shake out nicely.  It'll like any tag team challenging the Fabulous Freebirds for the title: on any given night, you never know which two are going to be out there.

IT and AB look like good bench guards. Smart right now is a quality bench guy because of his D. Its too bad there are no elite starters yet. Seems like this team is staked with 6th and 7th men.

Deepest bench in the league
Turner, IT, AB, Sully, KO, Smart, Zeller, Bass, Smart, Young, Crowder, Jerebko
