Zeller was very very impressive last night .

I like his confidence level .....taking on a much stronger Cousins head on.

I think Shav is a good role model .....he stays in control and won't be intimidated by bigger players

Playing Cousins physical is the way to him unraveled .....Cousins doesn't like being pushed around ....so he does stupid things to hurt his team .

I liked Zellers ball control.....be was in the correct spots to be effective ......he played smart .....and stayed out of foul trouble

That was quite a game to battle Cousins all night and not foul out in 2 quarters .....that's a lot of defensive improvement he showed last night.

He even block a shot or two down low.

KO needs to watch Shav and Zeller .....how to defend and not foul .

Really think a Thomas/Zeller combo will be a solid go to option w/ pick and roll down the stretch of games, which is something they badly need.  Thinking Zeller could be part of the long term answer if they can get a long 4/5 guy to rim protect -- and he has to be good enough that they can mix and match with that guy and (yes) Sully depending on the matchups.  if the get the right guy, I think that's a combo you can win with.

yes, zeller was a nice pick up by danny, and what did he give up for zeller? but let's look at this a tad more broadly.

along with zeller came thornton and a cleveland first rounder, which, in turn were magically transformed into thomas. now THAT is a real steal.

the celtics basically surrendered a 2nd round pick to get zeller, thomas, and a TPE.

i am really curious to see what ainge will be doing this draft, and next year as well.

zeller has basketball pedigre from family to college-----he's probably the celts best free throw shooter without looking at stats-he has produced while on a merry go round roster with new coach and new town--next season there should be vast improvement-

right you are on ft%.

#1 on the celtics is zeller at 82.8% ft
#2 on the celtics is bradley at 81.4% ft.

oh, and for anyone interested, at the bottom of the ft heap is james young, at 40%. but i suspect he will improve.  ;D
