Sports leagues shouldn't even have all-star games/weekends anymore; events like the slam-dunk, 3pt, and home run contests have lost a lot of their appeal, and the games are meaningless (except for in MLB, where giving it such huge significance as World Series home-field advantage is ridiculous and unfair).
They can still name all-stars because it signifies the best players, but they should just give everyone 3 or 4 days off to rest and call it good.
