Didn't see a thread about this, just turned on the young players game World vs. USA. Unfortunately it's pretty much a showboat of dunks and three's. Not much defense. Still it's a good review of the rising stars.  Just love Giannis on both ends. Wiggins looks a cut above too.

Yeah, it's better than nothing, but not much better. I watched about 10 seconds of the Celebrity AS game on ESPN and immediately started to feel drowsy. It's not a horrible idea but it's executed poorly. It's weird to me how they have some celebrities but then ex-NBA players and WNBA players to kind of prop the quality up, or something.

It's funny but I'm actually rooting for the World team. I feel like Benedict Arnold.

I'm not watching anything tonight.  I like the 3PT contest and the All-Star game itself, but that's about it.

Sorry to miss the celebrity game, that's always a hoot and yes they need the former players to legitimize it. My favorite is the skills challenge. Steve Nash used to dominate that contest and really shows off all around ability in the game.

watching this rookies game. Gotta say, I'm pretty jealous of Minny's core. As much as I love Smart, I'll trade Smart+Young+Olynyk+Sully for Wiggins+Lavine+Dieng+Muhammad :P

I don't disagree with this, but Minnesota is going on about a decade now of having an exciting young core.

All-Star/Daytona weekend is always my favorite weekend of the year.  I'll be watching EVERY part of both weekends (and obviously recording since they're simultaneous).  I'll also probably be contributing the most to this thread (created it 2-3 times in the past I think), as not many other CBers seem to care/post a lot about All Star weekend.

But my biggest question to you all is, did you guys all see the chick interviewing whoever that nobody was doing the halftime routine during the celebrity game?  She asked "Yeah!!  Who else out there is a Kyle Lowry fan?!?!" (because him and his whole crew were wearing Lowry jerseys) and then it was dead silence.

Of course, I loved this just because I hate Lowry and think he's absolutely the biggest flopper in the NBA.

IP probably hates this post, lol.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Haha. Actually, if Minny can climb out of the bottom 12 next year we'd benefit.
