And TP to sahara as well. My thoughts exactly!

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I have no complaint other than I wish he'd attack the basket about once or twice a quarter like he was doing in OK. State.

His defense is exceptional, its already showing that he's getting better the more minutes he logs on the court. I hope he attacks the basket a bit more. Be a bit selfish sometimes and get some for himself.

He's put up some big numbers the last couple games.

Are you watching different games than I am? I think he had two points last night.

Smart is a great player.

His defense is like nothing I have ever seen.

A "great" player? Maybe in 3-5 years, although I am not sure he will ever reach great status.

I mean besides scoring... solid production.  He's looking good out there.  I think he'll be better than Rondo.

Same here. But I haven't heard Stevens talk about being concerned with him not driving, so hopefully it's just the team having him work on his outside shot this year.

If his shot selection improves and he starts penetrating more, watch out league. This kid will be a terror on both sides of the floor.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

This dude is playing like veteran Rondo already and he´s a rookie. Once he get´s the greenlight from BS to attack the rim, watch out.

Well, he's definitely had a better season than Rondo so far. So thankful that we were able to trade Rondo in order to get Smart all this meaningful playing time. That was in essence part of the return. Hopefully, we can move/buyout Prince and/or Thornton to give Young a lot of PT the rest of the year.

I agree with everything positive on smart. I am from Oklahoma and watched what he could do in all his games. I think the thing that will separate him from a lot of people over time is his intensity, drive, dedication and passion for the game. He will be willing to do whatever it takes to get better. Everyone in the NBA is talented BUT not a lot have the every day intangibles he has. I think his ceiling is very very high and he can be an all star and a cornerstone of a championship team. His game has to mature to the NBA game but from what I have seen I just don't see him letting himself fail and he will be willing to put in the WORK to get where he needs to be. I think KG and PP would have LOVED to play with him and his intensity.

But his rebounds, assists, steals #s for a pg is exceptional (rookie or vet)
Um, no, they aren't. Unless of course you mean to say that exceptional veteran PGs average 5-6 assists per game.

I really can't believe how good Smart is defensively at this stage of his NBA career. even if he gets beat, there's no panic & he gets right back in the play. if he helps on defense and the ball swings to his guy he doesn't run scared towards the ball and take himself out of the play.

his discipline defensively is something I've never seen from another player in their rookie year. I don't follow other teams so I might be wrong in saying so. still i'm interested to see where his game goes defensively when he has some experience and gets to know some of the guys he's defending.

Better then a four time all star?

I'll take that.

I am not really worried about his lack of scoring at this point. I am more looking at the skill set he is showing.

He is remarkable in his ability to add to his game so quickly. He has improved in every facet of the game and even his already quite good defense has improved. Ive also been impressed with his vision and I think his handle is improving(but it is still kinda bad).

I think he has the hunger and drive to become a better player. I could see him being a guy that keeps on adding to his game year after year. Cant wait to see what he becomes.
