OMG what a bunch of BS....you wanna work in a men's environment--this stuff will happen...Cedric Maxwell once yelled at Violet Palmer---to get in the kitchen and make me a sandwich---good thing he did this years ago---or he would be in Jail for it now---The pussification of our country is almost complete.

So you're saying life was better when people could say mean things to each other without fear of reprisal?

Typical outrage culture of the modern day American media and the PC police. Now referring to women as "she" or "her" is misogyny. What I feel he real misogyny is that we feel like we have to treat grown women with kid gloves at all times, that any criticism levied against women is labeled sexism and that people are ignoring the fact that she's made noticeable mistakes in her young career as a ref.

This is such a non story.

What's more outrageous, the outrage culture or the outrage over it?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Unless there is something wrong with my English, all he says is that he disagreed with the refs decision. Nothing offensive there about her sex or being a rookie.
Having said this, having watched the Clips miserable performance against the Cavs, CP3 has better things to worry than supposedly being treated unfairly by the refs. This is NOT the reason they lost the game.

same, that's how I interpreted it. On a somewhat related note - Am I a bad person for saying this to the refs?

LET THEM FIGHT IF NECESSARY !

People r just making a big deal because she is a girl

Cp3 didn't mention anything about sex

Just criticised her ruling like any other ref

There's plenty of blame to go around in this one and neither of them has advanced their own cause.  We are, however, missing the point.  My letter to Adam Silver regarding the best course of action:

Dear Mr. Silver:

In this day and age of athletes getting away with anything and everything, you need to make a strong stand.  I would suggest that you suspend CP3 for the rest of the season.  In fact, just to show how seriously you take this blatant sexism, perhaps you should suspend Blake Griffin, too.  And while fans may argue that the Clippers would benefit, since they would surely end up in the draft lottery, it is important to remember that they don't have their own draft pick this year.  I forget who has their pick this year, but it is important that you take the action I recommend immediately.

Thanks,
Mike
I could get behind this idea!

If a ref makes a number of bad calls, is the post game press conference really the place to make an issue of it?

1. Clearly the Max example is uncouth and worthy of criticism, though.

2. That's subjective. And you are asking which is worse, to be upset over the "incident" or people's reaction to it. The answer lies with what side of the fence someone sides on.

Separately, it IS ridiculous that "open-minded" people jump on any opportunity to educate the masses when it might be they who need the educating.

Gender, along with Israel and abortion to name a couple others, tops the list of topics nearly impossible to discuss objectively. That's the most "outrageous" part of our culture if you ask me!
