One point I haven't heard much of a response to is that the cap is going to rise by a large margin and the "Max" contract he'd sign wont be max within a few years.(similar to Bradley's deal)

Seems like a win/win. Celtics lock up a great player that may end up being "cap friendly" toward the end of his contract. Draymond Greeen gets all of the bragging rights and perks associated with being a max level player.

If some of you think he's worth say near max, well signing him to a max today will make him a near max player in the not so distant future. Anyone have thoughts on that?

I'd be cool with offering the max just to make Golden State match it. Tax is comin', y'all!

This. Although the Dubs are willing to pay the tax anyway, but still. It would be laziness if we don't give him an offer sheet.
