If Stevens decides that IU may be more attractive than rebuilding...

Funny how a team that's "crumbling internally" looked pretty good in whooping Boston.

Last week, it was Cleveland.  This week it's Chicago.  Next week?  Atlanta.

If true, he doesn't sound like the type of coach that would attract free agents to come here. If anything he would deter them.

nope, next week it's the Clips as Doc starts giving time to his kid like a little league coach makes sure his kid gets to play while better players sit. ;)

Why would he choose to coach Indiana when he's coaching the Boston Celtics?  This argument has never made sense to me.

Bring him home. Even he could get our current crop to play defense. Would prob make KO look like Ben Wallace.

Stevens is also under contract for a number of years, so unless we fire him he can't exactly choose to take coaching jobs wherever he wants.

I'm a CBS fan.  But Thibodeau cracking the whip on Sully and KO would be somewhat intriguing.

I hope this happens. I think instability makes it more likely that Butler signs an offer sheet to play somewhere else.

I don't like the riding players into the ground approach.  Never have.  I still have some
minor resentments regarding an under-utilized Tony Allen in the playoffs, while
a cooked Ray Allen turned the ball over and could offer nothing on hustle plays.
In terms of allotting minutes Thibodeau is the anti-Popovich.

This argument is suspect. Contracts are broken every day, both in sports, and in other business arenas. Case in point--Doc Rivers.

Danny would let him go to IU for a buyout or he might even let him walk.  Not advocating that BS leave or get dumped, but Thibs is one of the better, proven NBA coaches if available.

I'm not sure how good Thibodeau will be with a young team. He's never struck me as a player development coach.

Nah, nobody cares enough about Atlanta to get too riled up in either direction, and they could lose 10 straight and still be exceeding overall expectations.

The Spurs would be a good fit except they're usually too smart to talk behind each other's back or make out-of-context quotes that fit the narrative.  I'd go with the Clippers or Rockets.
