Hind sight is 20 -20

No need to cry about What if's.

Need to tank if out .....grit teeth.....and hope Danny chooses wisely in the draft.

its going to take lots of patience. It will be torturous. we saw that last year. We have years left to rebuild. I'd much rather a plan for a 5 year rebuild than be stuck in NBA hell for decades which it seems like some here would prefer with their impatience. Thankfully they are not running the show and DA is.

i'm just worried for our rookies and young players, smart played ball all summeras did KO and the  nba season is long and grueling enough, adding losing to some of these guys that have little experience with that and the cherry is trading away your stars for flotsam- i can understand it ,you can understand it thorton ,wallace prince  can understand it but can the kids be that hardened yet-how can you expect these guys to sacrifice there bodies and push themselves to emotional and physical limits while being sabotaged from winning-it will become like NBA wrestling or the philly tank

I wouldn't be worried.  As long as the young'ns have a good coach (which I believe the C's do) and good vet role models they will be fine.  There have been plenty of very successful NBA players that have started their careers on abysmal teams.  The current OKC team is a good example.  Kevin Durant seems no worse for wear after playing on a few 60+ loss teams.

Just wait until the end of next off season.

If you look at the Pierce / KG deal, we don't really start getting Nets picks until the end of next year and that is also when Wallace's deal ends.  We basically traded three seasons of being bad for all of the Nets' assets when that was up: cap space and picks.

So we couldn't really do anything last year or this year, but after next season, we'll be stacked.  I mean we roughly have a 10% shot at Okafor, a 10% chance at Muiday, and a 10% chance at Towns this season depending on if we come in 4th or 5th.  That is 30% of all of our projected outcomes from right now.  Worst case is we add someone like Stanley Johnson, Willie Caulie-Stein or Mario Hezonja, all of whom are super talented.

Plus, we'll go from $65 million of salary this year to $33 million next year - we could easily offer a max contract to either Monroe, Butler or DeAndre Jordan.  THEN we get all the Nets' picks and ANOTHER $10 m in cap space, plus we get a ridiculous amount of draft picks to combine in deals.  Our highest paid player right now is Avery Bradley.

We're going to be fine, but being good isn't something that happens overnight.

I think 2018, will be year we start getting better if it is only draft picks and Ainge can't make a deal.  If he can and can sign someone it may be sooner.

Not that it ever was, celts are using west coast trip to add to bottom line of losses and all eyes toward lottery position. There once was a movie ishtar with warren beatty  and dutin hoffman directed by elaine may a comedy -they must have set out to make the most expensive comedy flop ever.they reversed roles making dustin the sex symbol and beatty the moron, left the nevada deserts for morocco and were bulldozing and moving dunes there -it turned out the biggest  most expensive flop while spike lee made his first movie on his credit card for 100,00 vs ishtar 100,000,000-spike lees movie went on to be huge hit- now danny is going to give a 10 day trial out on west coast trip to a 21 yr old three point shooter, don't we have a 19yr old now, -so dannys moving sand dunes while showcasing 35 yr old players and picking up a older vet that has only taken 13 shots-green replaced by crowder and young, rondo  by turner/smart--this is pure Ishtar

:o Long way to make a point.

Solution: Don't watch anymore. No one said this was going to be "fun"
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
