Turner and Smart need to start together in the backcourt.

Evan Turner, Marcus Smart and Jae Crowder would be the worst jump-shooting starting perimeter combination in the league.

Throw in Zeller who refuses to shoot outside of 7 feet and you have only Sully as the only average to above average shooter in the starting lineup.

In all fairness to C22, perhaps he is vigorously advocating a tank effort by the celtics.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I'm fine with Smart gaining experience on the second team, building chemistry with future cornerstones KO and JY--as long as they all get more minutes!

W/e makes us win is what I ask for. If it's AB off the bench, I wish CBS would do it! I don't care if starting Pressey helps us win, DO IT!

It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Trade Bradley for an expiring. You can find cheaper talent.

No argument here, but regardless, that's probably still our best perimeter lineup.

Gotta say, I really liked what I saw with the Smart/Thornton/Turner lineup today, alongside Bass and KO's floor spacing.  Much more speed, spacing, and distribution than with Crowder.  Turner and Thornton is pretty nice because they're our ONLY two players who will EVER show aggression in getting to the rim, and Bass/KO gave them some nice space to work with.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I don't think the numbers support Turner being a bad shooter.

So what?

Smart is better than Bradley.

As long as Smart is the primary ball handler, I'd like to see a Smart, Thornton, Turner lineup (in those specific positions) until we can unload Thornton and/or Turner. Then I want to see a Smart, Young, Crowder lineup the rest of the way. No reason not to have that lineup once the trade deadline passes.

Anyone notice that Crowder's minutes have been drastically cut the last two games? He's kept Smart in there for longer periods of time and went smaller with Smart, AB, and Turner.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.

Bradely knows how to play basketball. He is worth his price and he is getting his mojo going. He was the no. 2 recruit in the country as a high school senior. His stroke is looking better and better. People said the same thing about Jeff  Teague in Atlanta and now he is close to an All-star.
Larbrd Bradley also wants to play for the Celtics and thats is worth a great deal to a fan like me. He beat out Ray Allen when Doc was the coach.
"People look at players, watch them dribble between their legs and they say, 'There's a superstar.'  Well John Havlicek is a superstar, and most of the others are figments of writers' imagination."

LOL what does him being the number 2 recruit in high school have to do with his level of play now?

I'd start Smart over Crowder personally.
