Anyone notice that Crowder's minutes have been drastically cut the last two games? He's kept Smart in there for longer periods of time and went smaller with Smart, AB, and Turner.

I've given up on trying to figure out Stevens rotations.  I still don't understand how Brandan Wright went from being a very productive bench big in Dallas to worthless scrub in Boston to productive bench big in Phoenix.  Yeah, I know they're better teams but the difference in Wright is like night and day.

If Danny isn't having a big influence over BS's rotations, I'll be shocked. As for Wright, he had his minutes cut severely when he came to Boston. And what were his incentives to play hard when he knew he was probably going to be traded?

I see Crowder having an anomalous bump in minutes for a single game against New Orleans before seeing his playing time regress to what he was getting before that game.

Turner and Smart need to start together in the backcourt.

Agreed, It's not because his shot didn't go down in LA. It's his inability to pass and handle the ball when pressured. He's a continuity killer.

And the fact that Smart is a better player...bigger and stronger.

I don't think the numbers support Turner being a bad shooter.

Maybe because you haven't looked at the numbers?

At least Turner is willing to take a shot.

I have never seen a team turn down so many open shots.

I think Smart is probably better than both Turner and Bradley at this point. From my point of view they are trying to bring Smart along slowly and running the team as the back up pg is a good way to get him experience against second team players without throwing him to the wolves.

The c's aren't concerned with winning now, they are concerned with getting better long term.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Plus both Bradley/Turner are under contract next year. So their development and roles are also a concern to manage along with Smart's development.

The thing is, though, there really seems to be a massive disconnect with the kind of 'offense' that Stevens wants to run and the kind of players Ainge is giving him to do it. Turning down an open shot isn't a good idea in a vacuum, but turning down an open shot you probably won't make is a fairly safe call.

This is true, but I think Smart's higher upside makes his development the cheif concern.

It was time to do this before the season started.

True, but Bradley has gotten worse and worse.

It's all relative, I guess.
