Yeah....Crowder is a team first player....he plays his tail off going for steal, d pressure ,  50-50 play hustle to get the ball.  He gives a coach a reason to play him even if he is cold shooting.

A lot of guys have only shooting to offer the team.

He plays Celtic blue collar ball.

Crowder is a nice guy and a nice player, but he is being heavily overrated here.

remember the postings over fav when he got his double-double early on? HOF type praise. this is par for the course for sports blogs and cb included.

i like crowder, but let's wait and see whether his offensive game will continue to be solid. if so, then ainge got a big bonus in the trade with dallas.

5m is a lot of money for a guy off the bench.  Heck, we didn't give James Posey 5m and he was arguably our best 3+D guy on a championship contending roster.

Hopefully Crowder continues to perform well, but I don't see him coming back unless he comes back on the cheap.  Otherwise we will likely roll his inflated value into a decent draft pick.  Nobody on this Celtics roster looks untouchable to me right now.  I bet Ainge is thinking the same way.

as with fav and some others, a quick start by the new faces gets people excited. understandable. this is why patience is an nba virtue. but bloggers in general, and cb specifically, are not the most patient group of human beings on the face of the earth.

crowder came in with a questionable offensive game, and now we can begin to see why. i still like crowder as a celtic for the reasons given above. i hope he stays and helps build the team.
