Interest in Thornton

I think it's unlikely we get that much for Thornton.

Antony cannot be traded back to us.  Detroit could send Butler and Datome for Thornton tho.

I've been eyeing Detroit since their streak looked sustainable.  That said, Thornton is instant offense for a team that just got back Jodie Meeks at the start of their run, so I don't see much more than a second coming back.  But when you consider we were given a 1st and Zeller for taking on Thornton, anything extra is gravy.

I like Thorton.  He's a good reliable bench.  Why do we nee to trade every bench player we have?

I was hoping he'd be a little more reliable than this, honestly.

Maybe they would bite on something like an optional 2016 or 2017 pick swap.  The worst they could end up with is a Celtics pick which seems like pretty good insurance for them.  I wonder what the perceived value of something like that would be for both sides.

no one is trading for thorton . He will be bought out

He may end up on the Cs throughout the rest of the season and the Cs may let his contract expire, but he won't be bought out.

THIS ^^^ No reason to buy him out as he is expiring, and knows the system to play out the string. Unless he is willing to take a steep discount on the buy-out, I dont see it...
