Mid lotto prospect. 6'11, 250 pounds, 7'4 wingspan. Good athleticism, quickness. Very good shot blocker. Some nice skills shown from the clip. Package reminds me of Speights from GS.

I haven't seen too much of him, but I don't know if I would say quickness and athleticism are strengths of his.  Seems like he gets by on size and length.  Doesn't appear to have great balance or strength for his size.  DraftExpress has him at 19.  So-so rebounder for a 7 footer.  ESPN lists him at 7'.  45% FT shooter over 2 years.

If RU has turned the corner and is dedicated to becoming a good basketball, he could be a big steal of the 2014 draft.   I wonder if Danny will take a risk with our late 1st, early 2nd on Upshaw. (click on watch video on youtube)

I heard he's a Whiteside and Larry Sanders type. A locker room headcase. But I'm willing to take a risk if it's a late 1st or 2nd round.

I would definitely consider him with one of our second round picks. I would have to see who is on the board to know if I would use the LA Clippers pick on him but I would more likely consider him with one of our second round picks.

I still think he will be a first rounder, if not lottery pick.  Especially after Whiteside exploded this year, teams won't want to miss out again.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

I have not read he is a locker room headcase.   He got booted out of school for the same reason the Bucks bought out Sanders

He just has to stop doing this and concentrate on basketball. My money is that he will change for the better. Unless he wants to ruin his life (look at Robert Swift)

I wouldn't be so sure of that, and he wasn't kicked off of two teams for the same reason that Sanders was.  The guy really does seem headed down the Robert Swift road, as his troubles stem from the same source as Swift's - drug use.  Do not want.  Sorry to rain on your parade.

I have read articles that implied that he was a locker room problem in Fresno St but really grew up in his year off with Washington and was a mature leader this year before being kicked off for the greens.  There are a lot worse things then that, which is why I think he will be a lottery pick.

To compare him to Robert Swift is a huge force and kinda sounds like propaganda.

If someone gets kicked off two college teams, I am not interested in him. He is a good shot blocker but can't really do much else. I think he would be a good pick with our second rounder but not after that.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

He should definitely be a consideration for the Celtics in the draft. Especially in the late first or second round. I've heard all the talk about him, and yes it's not all great. He has an NBA body already, he is a real rim protector with great size, and only a fair rebounder. I've never heard he's a locker room problem.

We're not talking about a finished product here, he's a kid. Kids make mistakes, as we all know. He could grow into a solid NBA center. Brad Stevens would be just the right coach for him, and these Celtics would set a nice example for him.

Invite him in when the time comes and work him out, can't hurt.
