I love how Celticsblog was agog about the possibility of landing Austin Rivers the year before he declared for the draft.
The interest level was so high. If ONLY we could get Austin Rivers.
Funny, how a couple bad seasons to start his career have everyone completely hating on him.
Is there no in between?
These super young guys are too immature for the league in most cases and are going to take time, effort and patience along the way to becoming (hopefully) useful players.
The book isn't written just yet on Austin Rivers. I am by no means a big fan of his, but the wild swings in valuation of a young player are silly.
Just remember what was said about old friend Gerald Green. Gerald's got a pretty respectable PER of 16.9 right now according to basketball-reference.
