Really, what was the point ? You trade away all your good vets for future protected 1st rd picks , but sign Bradley to a long term contract this past off-season ?  I just can't wrap my mind around what Danny was thinking . He is a 3 and D guy off the bench for a good team , but nothing else . We all know he can't create for himself, others , can't dribble, pass , rebound , bad shot selection .

Waste of 8 mil in cap space

1.  Danny was probably hoping for a little more development;

2.  Danny saw the market for wings going crazy;

3.  The deal probably won't kill our cap with it going up in the next two years.

Still, it comes down to Danny gambled that Bradley would earn more on the open market as an unrestricted free agent.  I think he lost that gamble, and I think he should have been more hesitant to pay Bradley as a restricted free agent.

FYI... we can finally trade Bradley on the 15th.  Wouldn't be surprised to see him moved next week.

Without moving Bradley, I don't believe we have enough cap space to sign two max players.

If he doesn't have a plan, why are we all able to predict all the deals he is making?

We can move Bradley if we want to, but 8 mil for a three and D guy isn't atrocious. I don't really see a dilemma here.

With the new TV deal next year his 8 is going to be more like  6 under the current cap. So it's not all that bad.

Worst signing of the off season easily. Going to have to move a 1st just to get that abomination off the books.

i have no idea what you're saying.  he's doing it now because it's his only option and its obvious.  that's why we all know.   he should have made this team worse last season and there was zero need to sign bradley.   the way you guys back this guy, when he is doing nothing but collecting late round firsts is just baffling to me.  he has no other choice.  he's failed at every other attempt to make  a viable team.    will it work?   it might,  but look at what they're selling and charging for  right now and it's pathetic.

The worst part--is, Bradley was a Restricted FA....Why couldn't Danny let someone else bid on him and then Match--?.....it was REEEDICULOUS to just sign him to this huge deal.

I'd be happy to trade Bradley for an expiring contract.

I'd roll with PG - Smart, SG - Young, SF - Turner, PF - Sully/Oly  C- Zeller

I'd have to imagine that Danny probably agrees. Who knows? There may be a team out there that would love Avery's service, but just didn't have the cap space to sign him this past off-season.

Well if we get one with the Green trade we'll have 11 of them over the next 4 years to give any team a choice of one. :D

In 3 years Bradley's deal is going to look like Green's deal now.  Bradley is not a team-destroying lazy player: he hustles, is a good teammate, can play great defense, can shoot, and is 24 years old.  If he doesn't get to where the Cs want him but is still what he is today, in a couple years he will have a very tradable contract.

He just needs to get back to cutting more and spotting up.  Less dribble handoff long 2 pointers.

Obviously, he thought there was too much of a risk that Bradley would get signed to a bigger deal.  How would you feel if Ainge had matched a larger contract?

Bradley's probably going to be the starting SG through next season, at least.
