Deal sending Timofey Mozgov from Denver to Cleveland, I'm told, is on course to be completed as soon as today

I wonder what "additional trade assets" Cleveland has on the table?

I thought CLE's pick was already owned by another team?

If Denver can get two 1sts for Mozgov, kudos to them.

I like this deal better for CLE than the 3 way one from the other day.  This certainly helps them in the front court.

It'll be interesting to see the price paid.

Good move for the Cavs. Mozgov gives them physical presence in the paint defensively.

Desperation.  Mozgov isn't that good.

He provides toughness inside though, but I agree that Mozgov isn't that good considering his questionable Basketball IQ.

You're correct, my mistake.

Agreed.  Guessing there's a premium since he's locked into a long-ish contract (as opposed to reaching free agency soon).

The Bulls can swap their '15 pick with Cleveland's, but the Cavs will still have one.

Ouch.  That is steep.  Good for Denver.

I assume you believe Mozgov is good, though not that, i.e. two first-round picks, good.

Despite the overpay, Mozgov is a tremendous addition to that team. Cavs can also probably afford to overpay after being the clear winners in the recent 3-team trade. It's a win-now move, and I like it for them. If you're going to give up Wiggins for Love, you have to be willing to give up a little extra in draft considerations to complete the puzzle. Otherwise, if the plan is to be patient for a couple of years, I don't see why they didn't just keep Wiggins. If they can bring on Dalembert or trade for Wright using their TPE and two 2nds, I love their team.

Irving/Shumpert
Mike Miller/JR Smith
LBJ/Marion
Love/T. Thompson
Mozgov/Dalembert or Wright

That's quite a ballclub.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

So Rondo can only get 1 late first round pick , but Mozgov can get 2?

Wow good to know the cba is helping teams keep their good players.....
