Please. SG!! Play him minutes, so he can get experience guarding players now. If we are truly rebuilding, give him minutes!

He has the size and wingspan at his position. It's perfect, plus we need a 'shooting' guard.

Young is not a SG according to Ainge, he is a SF.

I don't want him at SF. He has the length, but not the size. You put him at SF, you're asking for trouble. Develop him at SG, then he has a size and length advantage he can work with.

We don't have anywhere near enough talent on this team right now to be picky about anything, lol. ;D As long as we're looking forward, though, does anyone really want Sully and KO as part of our core, because I sure as hell don't.  Get Vonleh and Hairston from Charotte in a Jeff Green deal or something - whatever, lol, just get more youngins' haha, and we'll go from there.  I also think that Turner is a keeper, if only because he destroys Chicago, lol. ;D In all seriousness, though, I do like his versatility, even with his faults and shortcomings.

Back to Young, though, "well, would you look at that - you give him minutes and he produces."  Who knew (sarcasm)? ::) ;D

Turner would be a nice sixth man. I like Sully and KO, but someone needs to go sooner or later.

It's not about being picky, it's about getting him settled already in a position that could suit him well and have an advantage.

CBS can't lock him up any further. He will be getting some more mins. He played solid D tonight also.   I think he was a little passive at times in the offensive end.   Shooting the three and driving and getting in difficult floaters are his specialty.

TP for posting those highlights so quickly.  Wow the garden sounded loud when he started hitting those 3's.

I missed the game tonight, and I had been waiting to see sig. minutes from Young just like all the rest of us.  Well he doesn't hesitate to shoot the ball.

but I agree w/ Vinnie too.  I will gladly be patient while he shows us over and over again that this one game was not an aberration haha.

My sentiments exactly. :) I've become disillusioned with the other two guys, however, for various reasons.

Sure he can - don't jinx Young, lol. ;D Stevens routinely subs out the guys who are playing really well, anyway, and still has no idea how to implement a consistent rotation.  In year two. ::) Ugh.

... I'm more excited about James Young than Marcus Smart.  19 year old kid with proper size who can shoot?... I'm in.   Nice to have hope.  I give his performance tonight two thumbs and a Gerald Green nub up.

I think he'll be in Green for awhile. He looked awesome today like a true stud in the making but we'll see.

I agree--but he really has a much better understanding and flow in the game than Gerald ever had here. He's a natural basketball player with a solid bbiq--which Gerald of course wasn't.
