We haven't had one since Ray left . It is pretty obvious to me that Young is elite shooter and part of our future .  Hopefully Danny can unload Bradley on a contender . Jeff Green is more likely to go though .  Young needs 20 + mins  a game, he is already the best shooter on the team .

Future Core

PG: Smart       / clips pick
SG: Young       / Bradley
SF: Top 5 pick(Stanley Johnson please) / Crowder
PF: Sully?       / KO
 C: Max          / Zellar

He can flat out shoot and jump too.

We need Drummond to help him and Smart

A big fellow to clean up the paint .

Getting Tyrus Jones with that Clips pick would be a really great prize for Doc

Not saying Young isn't going to be an excellent shooter for his career, but I think you might want to give him a little more than 20 NBA minutes before making him part of the future core. Again, I loved what I saw, but I want to see him do this over a period of time. He may be the best shooter on the Celtics right now though.

Young is not a SG according to Ainge, he is a SF.

And yes, he is the best three point shooter we have had since Ray Allen.

I would like to see Turner, Smart, Young, Sullinger, and Zeller start together.

Yes, Young has that swag of a scorer. He really should get more minutes.

Especially now that the Celtics are in a mellow gear.

James Young's shot form is probably the only pretty product the Boston Celtics can put on the floor right now

I'll agree with that starting line up, at least it would be fun and interesting.

Don't laugh, Pressey made an impact, he organizes that offense and pushes the ball.

Pressey is a very good backup point guard.
I have said that for a long time.
I like him better than Nelson.

I expect young to get a bunch of minutes after we trade Green.   Should have a solid month of big minutes down the stretch.   At some point, bottom feeder teams like the Celtic go into what's basically extended garbage time.  Every game is just about developing prospects, losing games and getting reps for the youngsters.

Green is a sitting duck.   We'll find a 1st or 2nd rounder for him.  Bass and Jameer will probably be bought out.  Then it's all about the kids getting run.

Do you like his shooting?

Longterm, we need a lot of positions.  It will be nice if Smart and Young will blossom, then we only need a PF, C and a SG.  I see KO as a bench guy and honestly Sully as one as well on a good team given his poor D.

I don't know. I'm not yet sold on Young as a SF over a SG. It will take more time and development by him to know his true position. If we could get a Smart/Young backcourt to work out, that's a tremendous size advantage.

I don't want him at SF. He has the length, but not the size. You put him at SF, you're asking for trouble. Develop him at SG, then he has a size and length advantage he can work with.
