I don't understand this. We looked so strong against the T-Wolves and the flailing Kings!! ???

Friendly reminder...

Mavs were 19-8 before the trade

Boston was  9-14 before the trade.

It shouldn't be a major shocker that the mavs are 5-2 since the trade...

It shouldn't be a major shocker that Boston is 2-5 since the trade.

Context, people.   Nobody should have expected Boston to win tonight.  When fans like myself suggest Dallas "didn't get much better", it doesn't mean we expect them to stink.  They are still a good team.  They were a good team before the move happened.

Well, how about the context of how we've been losing these games vs how we lost pre-trade? What about the difference in November's schedule and December's? You are right that context  helps shed light on what's happened this year.

On the one hand, Boston still fighting back in this game is a testament to Stevens' coaching.

On the other hand, Stevens' coaching also bears a lot of responsibility for how timid this team plays a lot of the time.

On the gripping hand, Stevens had got to stop with this moronic 11 man rotation nonsense.  At the very least, when someone like Zeller is playing well, PLAY HIM!

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Smart is looking really good right now. Good court awareness and passing.
Wake me up when he leads the league in assists for multiple years and leads pgs in rebs. And gets lot of triple doubles. And makes one all nba defensive team
move on!

Cant. We have a good player and instead of surrounding him with better players (in which we can), we gave him away.

Until we get a replacement for him (not necessarily in position but in star power), it'll be hard to move on.

Rondo with a huge bucket and then a nice set up for Chandler on the next play.  Big plays for Dallas.

Awww did I hurt your feelings a little bit  ::) Grow up. And if you don't think Smart will make an all nba defensive team, you're just a little butt-hurt.  ;)

Nice bullet pass, Rondo...I miss those.

Marcus showing flashes, though...need to be patient with him.
