What is most misused/abused term in NBA?

In your opinion what is the most misused or abused term in the NBA.

I cringe every time I hear or read that player X or player Y is a role player. What exactly does that mean, isn't every player a role player? Isnt it better or more accurate to state that the player is a limited role player if that is what you mean?

It's an overblown, increasingly vague, over-cited concept, like "three-and-D" and "stretch-four" that turns into a box people somehow think has to be checked in order for a team to be good. The life cycle goes from catch-phrase to fad to conventional wisdom to joke. It's peaking conventional wisdom now.

Amen. It's a truly annoying phrase uttered by people who want to make a simple game overcomplicated. When you're defending, everyone is protecting the rim, albeit from varying distances.

I've been sick of these terms for a few years now.  Every team that is young and developing is not tanking.  I don't think the Celtics are tanking.  The term should be reserved for a team like the Sixers.

  "Makes the players around him better". People don't know what that means, or think it isn't supposed to mean anything in particular. You see comments like "of course he makes the other players better, he's a star (or superstar)". You ask them how he makes them better and you're likely to see "he's a superstar" repeated.
