he Celtics own six first round picks in the next two NBA drafts and most followers of the team believe president of basketball operations Danny Ainge will eventually deal some of them for a top young talent. With that in mind, ESPNBoston.com's Chris Forsberg was asked as part of his Monday Mailbag if the Celtics should try to acquire Utah Jazz big man Derrick Favors. Forsberg has an interesting take on that subject

Now I am not saying we should get derrick favors because we have 3 young up in coming power forwards

I personally want to trade for giannis atetokunmpo  he is a 20 year old kid that can play sg really well.

Because I think we can get the dream team of
smart
antetokunmpo
butler
Towns
Olynyk

I think that team can win it all. In a year or two. so if we trade for antetokunmpo then we have 3 of the five players. we tank and draft towns then sign butler in the off season by paying him the max. He would do it because he gets to be apart of young amazing dynamic team.

smart-a determined defensive stud who is slowly getting better at offense and in a year or two will be a star
atetokunmpo- a young guy with some much potential he could be the next paul george
butler- A guy who has just come into his own scoring twenty points a game while being an amazing defender
Towns- a young power forward center who can do it all, he can score, defend and protect the rim.
olynyk- a young center who can score all over the place. he has been terrible defensively but is getting better every day and I think can be a huge part of the celtics future.

with bradley stevens signed ling term we have the money to sign this group of five for a long time and have them grow as a team together.

So what young prospect should the celtic's trade for?
zach lavine-jeremy lin-tyus jones
jeremy lamb-tyshen prince-Andre miller
will barton- beljina-
Kevin love-kevin garnet-payne
Karl anthoney Towns-JJ hickson

I wonder whether the kids ever called him "Aingie" on the playground.

"Rumor" here usually means some credible source of information is reporting something that is possibly in the works.  Probably not the technical definition of rumor which can refer to something with no discernable or credible source.  Feels like a serious word here though -- one that tends to get excitement brewing.   Should be used only for real information I think.  This isn't a Cblog worthy rumor.

I am still thinking Nuggets trade Gali, Harris for TPE and a low 1st.

Then Green for Lance. (HATE this trade but it's talent for a guy we are not keeping. Ricky Davis part 2).

Bass for another TPE and never going to receive 2nd.

What are you drinking, kid? I'll have some.
It's nice seeing him get exposed as overrated after having argued with fellow fans for years that he was overrated.. but I don't hate him. I'm looking forward to seeing him [...] bounce around to a couple more teams... eventually come back to Boston[...] and helps us as a role player until he runs himself out of the league.

Why would Milwaukee trade Giannis other than to do some inexplicable favor for the Celtics? He is good. He will be better. He works cheap for the next 3 or 4 years.

Just like so many unrealistic targets out there. Teams are not going to trade away young prospects like that.

Rumor:  asked my dad if Boston should sign free agents.  Dad had an interesting take on the subject.  I personally would try to sign Lebron James.

Lebronjames.com for more info on Lebron.
