Oh my god, what an offensive rebound by Rondo. Wonderful.
Sorry but have to put it in there
Trade him while his value is high

Rondo with another legitimate chance at a quadruple double with points, rebounds, assists, and turnovers!  ;D

I've always wondered whether someone should tell him to chase a quadruple double with steals or blocks so he gives 100% effort on D.

It's amazing what Rondo can do when he's into it. Responding to those trade rumors, perhaps? Maybe that was all a motivational tool from Danny (it's been done before).

That right there is the exact reason I'd be okay with trading Rondo for a decent haul. His motivation is so fickle. If he'd play like this every night he'd be a max player for sure. And it's not like he's having random bursts of good games. He legitimately has the ability to play like this every night.

Rondo always played very well when he actually had some dependable players around him......now he has to do EVERYTHING AND LEAD, and pass, and bring the ball up, and shoot, and defend and......

I don't know about ALWAYS, but he definitely did play his role better and more consistently when he had better players around him.

I demand 3 Cousy stories a game.
as compared to rondo..?

Maybe. Just like hearing about the good old days.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Well, I was meaning because his role was smaller, thus when he mailed it in it was much less noticeable. Now if he doesn't play his best ball it's incredibly noticeable.

I think Scal put it best about this. Rondo is 6'1" 170something. His body wouldn't be able to to handle that. The only person who can play like this every game for a full season is LeBron, and he's once-in-a-generation. It's amazing Rondo has the ability to do this at all. I do agree, though- I'd like to see him do it more often, especially now when EVERY game matters if we're thinking playoffs.
