You also probably are going to get him suspended a couple of games based on this elbow he hit Stevenson with tonight: https://vine.co/v/O6z2pErBdM9

I missed the game. What led up to that?

In a nutshell:

Rajon Rondo produced his third triple-double of the season by posting 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists over 32 minutes. It's the 32nd triple-double of Rondo's career. But this was hardly Rondo's night and he was a team-worst minus-21 in plus/minus for the game.

I would not give him his current contract. He is not worth the 13 million he makes now.

How many players who make less than 13 million have 3 triple doubles a season?  Let alone 3 in 18 games (on pace for 14 this season).
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Who cares. Only ppl in fantasy leagues care.

I would trade Rondo's 3 triple doubles he has this season for wins instead.

How about if Bradley and Sully didn't combine to go 4-19 from the field ?  or our starting lineup hit more than1 three ?  Why don't you put blame on anyone else ?

+1. We have witnessed that 15-20 pts lead mean nothing  going into the 4th. And yes it has alot to do with Rondo.  He just passes the ball to the guy next to him and stands there. Why not drive and kick it out or try to score, get to the line?  Just stands there.
Really thought he should have been looking to score in the 4th tonight.  Charlotte doesn't have much rim protection and there were lanes available to him to get to the basket.

I just don't get the hate. Rondo is a flawed player and we can quibble over whether he's a top 5 PG, whether he's worth a max contract. But some people just seem to blame him for everything and you get stupid threads like this one, what universe are you living in that you wouldn't pay him $13M?!

A lot of these loses aren't on Rondo (alone), it's on the whole team, including Brad Stevens and Danny Ainge.

exactly, how does Smart only play 12 mins tonight after playing great last game? Bradley couldn't hit a shot, 1 ast 0 rebounds . How about putting our two most dynamic players Rondo and Smart on the floor together for more than 3 mins?

Stephenson once again flipped so bad, hence why there was no call and everyone played on. Because that's what he is known for youtube it. Bradley is just garbage, Thornton came up hit a spot up three in someone's face can't really call so bradley then decides next possession let's dribble up and just spot up 3, TWO possessions in a row. Now his contract is untradeable. Rondo gets the same hate from same posters every day. It's funny cause they can't seem to locate the real problems with this team.

Rondo was a minus 21 tonight and turned the ball over three times in the fourth quarter.
Plus, Rondo can't defend.

CBS isn't working with Smart like I hoped he would. It seems like if Smart misses one shot he's glued to the bench. Really, Smart should be starting or at least playing. 20 MPG.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

add sully to that mix, i thought green did pretty well even though he only got 12 shots
sully's defense was NOT good, as far as bradley i'm ready for him to be shifted to bench, start turner, smart or thornton
bradley isn't hitting his shots he isn't bringing much to the team, i've only seen a few glimpses this year of his defense being at previous level

I bet they were tired from the double overtime game the other day.  Everyone was front rimming shots.

I love Rondo, especially if Ainge can surround him with REAL talent.  My concern with Rondo is that his price tag will be way too high for what he actually is.  He's nothing more then a very, very good facilitator.

Pros- Vision, passing, competitiveness, proven, unselfish
Cons-FT's, 3pt's, DOES NOT CLOSE GAMES WELL, inconsistent, ball dominate

When you weigh those factors together I come out with a base salary in the 12-14 million range.  Rondo is going to want MAX or close to it.  I'm just not sure if he's worth it long-term.

Such a difficult decision for Ainge.
