He's also top 3 in turnovers per game with Wall and Westbrook.

He's a little high (but not much) on turnovers this year but in general he's better than anyone aside from CP in terms of assist/passing turnovers or ballhandling turnovers per minute played.
He's 8th in assist to TO ratio among starting pgs. Rubio beats him by .04 but has only played 5 games this year.

Ty Lawson beats him by .13
Jrue beats him by .28
Kemba beats him by .41
Kyle Lowry beats him by .54

He is more than a full assist to TO ahead of Jeff Teague and Elfrid Payton and Tony Parker and Isaiah Thomas and Jeremy Lin and G Dragic and Eric Bledsoe and D Rose and MCW and Brandon Knight

I was talking about over the course of his career.

So apparently he's still getting better

Magic Johnson
Isaiah Thomson
John Stockton
Jason Kidd
Chris Paul
Bob Cousy
Steve Nash (the MVP years)
Gary Payton
Derrick Rose (the MVP year)
Tony Parker.

(not top 10 all time per say, just 10 off the top of my head)

Thanks for the list....

KC Jones - two NCAA tiltles - eight NBA titles (Ok, I'm a homer)
Oscar Robertson (@ U Cincinnati he averaged 34 ppg? Crazy)
Lenny Wilkens (Lord, he was good..9 time all star...went to PC..I'm a homer again)

Bob Cousy was the sickest shooter ever and? His passing ability is unequaled.

God, I'm old

Anyway, to the question....Rondo is as good as any PG today, when he is on the money and he is not "on" all the time. Is he matched up well on the 2014 Boston Celtics? No he is not. However, as a player aspiring to greatness, he must reinvent himself and his game to make the current gig work. Why the he&% not?
makes me think of the line

I'm not but I'm old enough to have seen the writer of that song perform it live

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
So far this season:

The "inarguables':
Steph Curry
Chris Paul
Damian Lillard
Kyle Lowry
Kyrie Irving
John  Wall
Tony Parkour
Ty Lawson

The "Probablies":
Mike Conley Jr
Ty Lawson
Jeff Teague

The "Ehhhhh":
Brandon Knight
Eric Bledsoe
Goran Dragic
Jrue Holiday
Brandon Jennings

So I could see Rondo in the top-10 arguably, but not likely.

like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner

FG% 38.6
FT% 32.4
3pt% 26.9
TO's 3.4

It's not exactly a tough proposition to make an argument 10 PG's are better than him today.

Yes, especially when you add in some decidedly mixed defense. On the other hand, there's probably not a better passer, assist man, rebounder, or thinker of the game among the top PGs today either. He's very unusual, which means circumstances, including style of play and other players on the court are big factors in his effectiveness.
