He's just the latest in the Steimsma/Collins/Darko/Faverani rotation of backup bigs who see the court because we don't have anyone better.
I think he's easily the best out of those group. He also has a much higher upside than any of those guys.
He definitely doesn't have the upside that Darko did a decade ago. But, sure, even if he is the best of the batch, he's still in that strata of players who wouldn't be seeing more than 10-15 backup minutes on a contending team.
We didn't get that Darko, we got the 2012 version; it's very fair to say 2012 Darko had less potential than 2014 Zeller. And as long as we're quibbling, that Darko didn't really see the court either - 5 regular season minutes in green.
