zeller a smart guy as well as steal

I knew Zeller would be a great addition. It's the first healthy big man we've had since 2009-10 Perkins and he moves like a 4. I like the idea of keeping him long term and saving the money for another position.

sorry for postcard style will put some more effort in.I went back again to draft express and they were spot on,i did hear someplace zeller won a big 3pt contest and he himself said he thinks he can surprise people with shooting.

If he can hit threes, well...I have always salivated over the idea of being able to put four good three-point shooters on the floor with Rondo.

with more increased minutes, Zeller has shown why he deserved those minutes over KO. And I am loving it. Our 4th quarter woes is still a problem. Glad we got the win last night, but wasn't impressed how we were almost up by 30 pts, and they came back within 1.

I like him and his game. He is rotation worthy at this stage of his career on a bad team. He can match up well against maybe 50 percent of the starting centers in the league if I am being kind.
 His value will be as a solid rotational backup if we upgrade our other bigs. Just my opinion.

I guess my expectations were already low, because I'm psyched that we found a young, solid, rotational backup center.  Ainge added him, Thornton, and Cleveland's first round pick in 2016 for virtually nothing.

I think everyone should do the same with all our players.  Sully would be a great 2nd big, Olynyk would be a great 3rd big, and Bass or Zeller would be a great 4th big.  Likewise, Bradley would have lots of value as a 3rd guard, destroying 2nd string PGs.  He'd probably go from punching bag to fan favorite in a week.

Tonights a perfect test for Zeller,lets hope he can run their bigs into ground along with olynck.Every coach will after the LA game know what rondo and Zeller will do.This game is important to celts in a different way than yesterday .If they win it proves there is legitimate chance at playoffs more than that even ---is they are on right track.Whats that A TEAM saying" i love it when a plan comes together".

I think what we all like about Zeller:

- he doesn't try to do too much, which is really refreshing
- he runs up and down the court all the time, doesn't take plays off
- he runs rather fast ... quite a number of plays where he makes the defensive play and yet ends up with a slam off a Rondo feed
- he seems consistent in high play, which has been a criticism of the former starter at his position
- he has really good hands in receiving passes and goes right up with the shot

Were  Kelley and zeller picked roughly same spot in draft.I posted earlier this also gives danny wiggle room with all those draft choices.Celts have even more trade options now.I believe zeller will be a celtic for a long time. He has the right attitude to compliment a young big big---

I think he's easily the best out of those group. He also has a much higher upside than any of those guys.

He definitely doesn't have the upside that Darko did a decade ago. But, sure, even if he is the best of the batch, he's still in that strata of players who wouldn't be seeing more than 10-15 backup minutes on a contending team.
