On the way out, they played 20 questions, and once on the street they played hide and seek for hours. Eventually Danny Ainge called Rondo home for dinner, and he made Kobe call Mitch Kupchak to see if he could eat over. Dinner turned into an all-night video game party and they spent the wee hours of the morning debating whether or not they'd rather have Wolverine's claws or Deadpool's swords.

They're currently planning on going to NASA space camp this summer if their general managers will let them.

It will be hard for Rondo to pass it up. Play in Hollywood, which could lend itself to more money marketwise making up for any monetary loss contractually, and with arguably a better supporting cast.

It's pretty obvious that Kobe is pitching the Lakers to Rondo. He's spoken highly of his game in the past, they're seriously lacking at PG, Lin is expiring, they'll have cap space, and Rondo is a FA. Whoever thinks that the topic wasn't brought up is in serious denial.

I think it's against CBlog rules to comment directly about other posters, but it seems obvious to me that triboy and Chris22 are different people. They both don't think too highly of Rondo, and post a lot about it, but that's about where the similarity ends. I keep seeing posts insinuating they're the same guy, but I really doubt it's the case.

What do you think would be a fair deal for Rondo to the Lakers?

Baxter Holmes wrote that Nash's expiring plus two firsts would probably get it done (this was just him speculating)

I'm not sure if that's fair, considering they can't deal us their first this year since it is owed to Phoenix, which also means they can't deal theirs next year. I'm not sure if I deal Rondo for a Laker's first in 2017 and 2019, because I think the Lakers will probably be good again by then.

Not that it will be a worth while pick but the Lakers have the rockets picks this year lottery protected.

But they can't trade any 1st rounder this trade deadline because they didn't have a 1st rounder last year. If I'm correct they couldn't trade a 2016 1st rounder either because a) you could not rule out that their pick this year could go to the Suns and b) you could not rule out that the Rockets could miss the playoffs and keep their pick this year. Thus, with the possibility of the Lakers ending up pick-less in this year's draft, it would not be legal for them to convey 2016 1st round draft considerations to Boston at the trade deadline.

According to recent reports from Kidz Zone, superstars Rajon Rondo and Kobe Bryant were recently seen playing laser tag at a local Brookline establishment. The two entered the establishment and immediately enlisted the other kids in the arcade/pizza spot into an impromptu 'game to end all games'.

According to Parker Hamilton, age 12, "They just came in and took over. There were already people who had next, but Kobe Bryant told them that 'Mamba doesn't wait' and they skipped to the head of the line. After they won like 12 straight, some of the other kids wanted them to get on different teams, but Kobe said Rajon was his 3rd best best friend, and that they had to be on the same team. Then some tall Spanish guy named Pau or Paul or something tried to get on their team and Kobe said he had to be on the other team because they weren't best friends anymore. After they were done Rajon signed autographs for a while, but Kobe said he had to 'get work in' and did target practice in the arcade for 3 and a half hours."

No word yet on how this affects Rajon Rondo's impending free agency, but we did get word that Kobe Bryant has already asked his dad if Rajon can go with them to Cass Bonita for Kobe's 37th birthday even though it isn't until next August.
